High-end gaming is going mainstream, NVIDIA 60 Class GPUs make up 80% of GPUs on Steam, and that number is only going to get higher, thanks to the arrival of the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060!

The RTX 4060 Ti and 4060, like their older siblings, are built on the innovative Ada Lovelace architecture, which features NVIDIA’s latest advances in AI upscaling, ray tracing, and encoding technologies. With the release of the RTX 4060 Family today, we’ve compiled everything you need to know about these astounding graphics cards.

The RTX 4060 Ti and 4060

The latest addition to NVIDIA’s 40 Series lineup of graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is poised to capture the hearts of gamers and content creators, alike. The RTX 4060 Ti boasts an astounding 4352 CUDA cores which can boost up to an incredible 2.54GHz. The initial drop of GPUs will come equipped with 8GB of super-fast GDDR6 VRAM, based upon a 128-bit bus. NVIDIA has announced that a second 4060 Ti will launch in July, which has the same specs except for doubling the VRAM to 16GB!

In addition to the 16GB 4060 Ti launch in July, we’ll also see the release of the standard RTX 4060. This GPU is almost identical to the Ti, with a tweak to the core count and clock speeds. The 4060 is equipped with 3072 CUDA cores, that can boost to an impressive 2.46GHz. Additionally, the 4060 requires slightly less power than the Ti. In fact, the TDP of the 4060 is 115W compared to 165W for the 4060 Ti.

Alongside these solid foundations, the RTX 4060’s feature NVIDIA’s latest generation of ray tracing and Tensor cores. These innovative processors allow a 4060 Series GPU to produce photo-realistic lighting effects in your favourite gaming titles while maintaining silky smooth frame rates.

Groundbreaking Technologies

Built with NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti can take advantage of the mind-blowing advances made by the NVIDIA 40 series. Thanks to these huge leaps, the RTX 4060 Ti is 1.7x faster than an RTX 3060 Ti, and a massive 2.6x faster than an RTX 2060 Super. Meanwhile, the RTX 4060 is 1.7x faster than an RTX 3060, and 2.3x faster than an RTX 2060!

The largest contributor to this massive jump in performance is the inclusion of the latest version of NVIDIA DLSS AI upscaling technology. DLSS 3 utilises the same techniques of the previous versions, to upscale a lower-resolution image to a higher one with minimal loss of quality. In addition to this, DLSS 3 can generate entirely new frames. It does this by examining a wide variety of variables such as the direction and speed of pixels in sequential frames. Additionally, it also investigates whether a pixel is a particle, reflection, or shadow. With all this information, DLSS 3 can generate a new frame and inject it into the output of your game for a significant increase in frame rates.

Alongside this, your favourite games will look their best with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 Series GPU. This is thanks to the ray tracing capabilities of both the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060, which are powered by third-generation RT cores. Utilising this technology, you’ll be able to see amazing photo-realistic effects such as shadows, reflections, and light scatter.
