We are back with our monthly Indie Showcase, where we pick one of the many recently produced gems by independent game developers and make sure it gets some well-deserved time in the sun. For March, we are taking a closer look at the sci-fi adventure… Pacific Drive!
What is Pacific Drive?
Pacific Drive from Ironwood Studios and Kepler Interactive blends survival gameplay with driving simulations. You are exploring the Olympic Exclusion Zone in Pacific Northwest America, an area filled with supernatural horrors and unforgiving terrain. Your only lifeline is your trusty station wagon.
To survive this vicious world, you must scavenge resources and craft new items to deck out your car. Modifying your station wagon will help you to navigate this wilderness and, most importantly, make it out alive. This station wagon will be your fortress against the perils of radiation, bizarre weather, and experimental remnants.
But why are you even venturing into this treacherous zone? To uncover the truth of what happened, and the secrets left behind by the ARDA organisation. The OEZ is filled with twisted forces of nature, none so dangerous as a Zone Storm. These rolling maelstroms will rend the land in two and obliterate anything in its path.
