Hot Swapping
The core concept of the GMMK Pro range is customisation, and this pre-built keyboard is no different. Equipped with the same hot-swapping technology, you can configure the keycaps and switches, which are easily removable with the included tools. This is enabled by the gasket-mounted, 5-pin PCB. As a result, you can mix and match switches to suit your gaming style or replace the GPBT keycaps with a colour scheme reflecting your chosen aesthetic.
Out of the box, the Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built keyboard has a sleek look, housed in a CNC milled aluminium frame. The colour scheme is called Black Slate, a classic dark style offset by the all-white GPBT keycaps. Compact, this is a 75% TKL keyboard featuring Glorious’ iconic rotary encoder making it great for both work and play.
Switches and Keycaps
This pre-built keyboard is equipped with the new, proprietary Glorious Fox Switches. Pre-lubed, their smooth action offers linear feedback and superior acoustics, great for fast keystrokes. Of course, with the included nifty Glorious Switch Puller, you can replace them with any compatible switch. Perhaps you prefer the tactile “thonk” of Glorious Panda Switches? Or would like to mix and match Kailh and Gateron Switches for varied feedback. There are no wrong answers.
As well as looking sleek in white, the GPBT keycaps are highly durable, thanks to the use of PBT plastic. Resisting wear and tear, these keycaps won’t shine over time with heavy usage. Out of the box, this keyboard is arranged to be used with a Windows PC. Mac users, never fear – there are four extra keycaps included with Mac functionality. Plus, there’s an extra cheeky novelty ESC key featuring the Glorious logo. With the included Glorious Keycap Puller, switching out keycaps is incredibly easy.
What’s more, if white is not your thing, you can replace the whole lot with a set of colourful keycaps! Personally, I am a fan of the Glorious GPBT Celestial Series. RGB Lighting
Of course, no keyboard is complete without RGB lighting. The Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built features per-key and side lighting, illuminating your keyboard in the full 16.8 million RGB spectrum. Effects and colours can be set with Glorious’ CORE software. What’s more, you can configure the functionality of the rotary encoder within the programme too.
Cheeky Extras
Everyone loves a cheeky extra. In addition to the switch and keycap puller, the Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built comes with a Glorious Coiled Cable and compatible-sized wrist rest.
With its USB 2.0 interface, the Glorious Coiled Cable provides ample length for connecting to your PC whilst still looking neat on your desk. This is thanks to the 6-inch coiled section of braided cable. The included cable is black, but you can bet that there are many colourful options, such as Cobalt Blue and Forest Green.
Matching the 75% form factor, the wrist rest is thickly padded to provide excellent support. Whether on a gaming marathon or typing up an extensive report, this rest will elevate your wrists and hands, preventing fatigue, aches, and pains. Cushty!
