Starting out solely as the pursuit of space-conscious build enthusiasts, the proliferation of SFF (aka small form factor) PC cases in recent years is incredible. Multiple professional case manufacturers now offer their own high-quality interpretations of this category.

The latest attempt comes from Lian Li, who have teamed up with NCASE to create a whole new brand to go with it. Meet: Ssupd– otherwise known as Sunny Side Up Design. Continuing with the food theme, Ssupd have dubbed their first case – “Meshlicious” -. That’s Mesh + Delicious!

As you might expect from the moniker, the Meshlicious features an abundance of mesh elements – particularly if you choose the all-mesh variant. A mesh/tempered glass combo is available though if that’s more your thing.

The Meshlicious is a true SFF case with an internal capacity of 14.67 litres. As a result, the Meshlicious has a notably small footprint, thanks to a relatively thin and narrow base, with the largest dimension being its height. This imparts an elegant look, in either black or white, and has the added benefit of enabling the Meshlicious to house GPUs up to 334mm long and 155mm wide when mounted vertically.

I’ll have a Case-Over-Easy

Getting into the detail of the case’s layout, SSUPD inherits Lian Li’s expertise in designing eye-catching hardware that also prioritises ease of access. The exterior panels, for example, can be effortlessly popped out with no need for tools.

Internally, the Meshlicious is essentially divided into two halves via a bracket – with the Motherboard and PSU occupying one side, and GPU on the other.

Mounting the GPU separate from the motherboard is possible thanks to a bundled PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 riser cable if you choose that option. There is sufficient clearance for 4 slot full length GPUs when mounted vertically up to 334mm long and 115mm wide. If you prefer a more traditional set-up, this chassis can house a 3 slot SFF GPU with no radiator but there’s still space for a 140mm fan. The orientation of the GPU will have an effect on the size of CPU cooler that can be fitted with a maximum height of 73mm possible with a 3 slot GPU fitted or a maximum of 53mm with a 4 slot model.

When mounted vertically, any I/O on the GPU will be accessible via an outlet port on the bottom of the case. To keep cable management tidy, a right angle HDMI port has been included in the box.

Making the Meshlicious unique in this category of cases, the motherboard’s I/O ports are accessed from the traditional back position rather than from the top or bottom. This means the motherboard’s I/O is easily accessible and cables can be neatly tucked behind the case. No unsightly, and tricky to manage cables, coming from the top of this SFF case!

In keeping with the case’s minimalist aesthetic, the top panel has just the essential I/O ports: a single USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, a USB 3.0 port and of course a power switch.

Eggs-cellent cooling

This flexibility of the Meshlicious also extends to cooling options. There is natural airflow thanks to the large mesh panels, which can be augmented by 2 additional 120 or 140mm fans in the front. Alternatively, up to a full 280mm radiator can be mounted on the front, perfect for you AiO cooling enthusiasts.

Similarly, you have the choice between installing a full ATX or a dedicated SFF PSU. With an SFF PSU fitted there is enough space to mount a cheeky additional 2.5″ storage drive beside it. This is on top of the two 2.5″ drives that can be mounted on the base of the case by default. The Meshlicious will meet all your storage needs!

But wait there’s more! If an SFF GPU is also fitted horizontally, this leaves room for a bracket that can mount two 3.5″ drives or four 2.5&Prime drives. In total then, the configuration with this bracket and an SSF PSU allows for two 3.5″ drives and three 2.5″ drives or a total of seven 2.5″ drives.

Tasty accessories

Ssupd also launches a range of accessories for the Meshlicious. These include separate tempered glass and mesh side panels. These accessories can be used as replacement parts or to change up your case’s look. Also available are standard PCI-E 3.0 and 4.0 riser cables, with the 4.0 cables being compatible with newly released NVIDIA RTX3000 series GPU, AMD RX6000 series GPU and AMD X570 motherboards.

All in all, the Meshlicious offer users excellent flexibility, without compromise on performance. They do say great things come in small packages!
