Do you feel a cold shiver running down your spine? Can you hear a faint noise that you can’t just explain away? That’s not just your mind playing tricks on you. That’s Gloomwood, a new stealth horror FPS, crawling closer to release.

We’ve got all the details you need to know on this game, inspired by the Thief series, to help get you excited. Not only that, we’ve picked out five gaming PCs perfect for you to play this twisted title.

Enter a Twisted Victorian Metropolis

You find yourself abducted to a mysterious, forgotten city in the midst of a horrifying transformation. Consumed by an eerie fog brought on by an ancient curse, you must plan your survival and daring escape. Armed with nothing but your stealth, wit, and your arsenal of eccentric weapons, including your canesword , you must survive this haunting adventure.

Explore

The sprawling metropolis that serves as the setting of Gloomwood is a sight to behold. An intricate, hand-crafted city that is yours to freely explore. Take whatever route you want, whether it be across towering rooftops or through hidden passages. Wherever you go, a deep stealth and sound system will track you by light visibility. It also propagates noise accurately everywhere you tread, so step lightly or prepare to get loud.

Scavenge

From your stealthy canesword to a six-shot revolver and folding shotgun, your arsenal holds a weapon to meet any situation. Not only that, it has useful items like hand-placed traps and a rope-slinging harpoon rifle to help you take advantage of any circumstance. You’ll find the environment in Gloomwood is truly yours to take advantage of, as you eavesdrop on enemies, peek through door cracks, check the bullets in your firearms, and so much more.

Survive

You are far from alone in this fog-drenched urban nightmare. A mob of ghastly monsters and grizzly ghouls prowl the streets. These sharp-sensed monstrosities include the clawed Crowmen and the fearsome, cadaver-seeking Corpse Duster. To give you some hope in overcoming these enemies, Gloomwood is filled with objects for you to pick up, throw, climb, smash, and use.

When Can I Play Gloomwood?

While there is no release date for the full version of Gloomwood, early access begins for PC players on September 6th. If you cannot wait that long, the pre-alpha demo is available to download.
