Summer is in full swing, and it’s giving us the itch to get outside and play some sports. Sort of. For our weekend gaming, we’re showcasing some great sports games to play with your mates.
Instead of risking injury, sunburn, and who knows what else, sports games let us bring our need for outdoor activities firmly inside. Sure, getting exercise and fresh air are great, but there’s something to be said for having professional-grade skills at your fingertips. I don’t know about you, but I am unco-ordinated to all heck! Obviously, sports are better with friends, so we here at Overclockers UK rounded up five of our fave sports games to play with your mates this weekend.

FIFA 2023
Starting with a classic, there’s nothing like FIFA with friends. FIFA 23 came out last year, bringing the latest innovations to a tried-and-true game model. There are three fishing techniques to master, over sixty species of fish to catch, and hundreds of items to craft your perfect angling gear.
Gameplay is largely solo-based, but you can compete with friends in tournaments. You can set up a private tourney and invite your friends to see who can catch the biggest fish. As it is still in early access, there are gameplay modes still yet to be added – a dedicated multiplayer mode included.
