I've been asked to build a gaming PC on a budget for my cousin. He has the case, cooler, SSD&HDD and Bluray drive, sound card.

I tend to go for Intel only because I tried AMD and bought cheap Mobos with them and they were the bane of my life. However, happy to try again of Ryzen would be better for a budget build.

Budget of around £800 or less (I know I've gone over :o )

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £855.14 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Not going to get into the amd v intel thing if your happy.

£10 cheaper gpu and 3 year warranty.

Motherboard you could get some cashback if you Msi motherboard and cpu but you have to buy them in one transaction from participating retailers.

Psu is awful spend a bit more for a quality unit.

Thanks guys. My previous with the Ryzen wasn't really down to the chips. Just horrible boards.

Will swap out the PSU.
Intel currently offers better low end pricing than ryzen so I would definetly go with Intel for the amount of budget you have to work with.

Just because.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

The MSI offer as posted by Mickyfinn you would get £27 back on this build.

Personally I wouldnt get a 27" 1080p I would get a 24" 1080p. Thats regarded as the sweetspot for 1080p. That could get you a better monitor for maybe less money.

1080 @27" in my opinion looks terrible.. i seen a couple of monitors like that and I just could not stand them..
I agree that 24" is the biggest size I would go with full HD.
