Hey guys, got a FE and spent the day benching testing thermals etc. Running at stock and using hwinfo im seeing gpu temp max out around 82, with hot spot reaching 100c+

I’ve read about some issues with thermal pads on other GDDR6X models, should I be concerned?

From reading reviews, a lot of them said the 3070ti is one of the hottest running cards of this gen, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Yeah it reminds me of the old days, upgraded from a gtx 1080 I guess the trend of cooler less power hungry cards is over!

For comparison, I've just had a 30 minute stint on F1 2020 and these are the max temps recorded by GPU-Z with my FE 3070 Ti at default clocks, power limits etc. No FPS limits set also so the card was pushing for maximum FPS at all times. My case is quite high airflow, case fans running ~650rpm so nothing crazy (2 front intake, 1 rear exhaust). No issues with memory temps on my card, surprisingly cool in fact compared with 3080 and above.

Also I forgot to add myself into this thread as a 3070 Ti owner. Was lucky to grab an FE card in the first drop in June :)

Nice, I only saw the 82 with stress tests.
Today been playing warzone maxed out and haven’t seen 70c yet! Slight upped my case fans profile and looks to of helped.

Have to say i totally agree, it's running well as far as temp's go, and lovely and quiet too, i'm more than happy with it, and love the support that come's with it, needed.

I didn't have to worry about that as i run it vertical, i THINK i will be keeping my 3070ti until BF 2042 is released and see how it does at 3440x1440 144hz if needed i will get a 3080.

I've undervolted mine and it hits max 72c @ 35% fan speed.

Just bought one for £840, sick of waiting and my 970 is annoying me, arrives soon.
How do you find it? my main criteria is noise, how does it sound?
Pushing it hard at stock does make it noisy but I always planned to give it a bit of an undervolt using Afterburner and that easily made things silent and cooler.
