Hi guys,

I have been out of the PC / hardware world for like 10 years. I switched to the darksite for a little while with apple and i am ready to come back. back in the day i wanted a gaming pc but when i became a wedding photographer apple made more sense to me.

Now my macbook and my desktop struggle with the huge amount of images it needs to handle everyday and also video work is hell! Its increddible slow and really holding my work flow back. So i figure its time to treat myself to a brand spanking new system. I would love to hear some advice from you guys about what is the best choices as far as bang for buck go. And also if i can better spend a little more to get major gains from spending extra. As hopefully you guys are the experts! So down here i will list all requirements etc.

Budget : between 1 and 2K
Why i neeed it : Editing in LIghtroom , Photoshop and premiere pro. Heavy workloads; 1000s of images at the same time or 4K video editing. But would also like to be able to play some shooters on it.
I can self build but would prefer a prebuild overclocked machine.

Hardware : i prefer intel from 1 years ago but i believe AMD is better now a days?
Ram : atleast 32 GB
Case : no flashy lights or stuff like that. Clean and profesional looking is prefered.
Card readers needed : loads of USB options aswel
Wifi needed
Windows needed
no screen or keyboard etc needed

Looking forward to hear all of your opinions :D

GPU wise a 2060 , or 2060 Super will do well. Have to see after 17th if pricing drops, and then probs further by Nov with rtx 3079 release

Ram.. intel can use more slower ram, Ryzen is fast as you can get which normally equals less amount for the same cash

Rough intel . Wait till 3080 rtx is released and see how pricing does for RTX 2060. But it's 3070 that will drop pricing more . 64GB ram for 4k editing and 10 cores in a silent case. With WiFi and USB C 3.1 at the front

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,385.12 (includes shipping: £13.20)

AMD

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,481.12 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Prob add more storage etc

Think ocuk charge £150 to build it
