8Pack Says

I recommend using 3200MHz or 3600MHz 8Pack edition team group 16GB memory kits with Ryzen. I’ve tested this in both X470 and X570 platforms and both show excellent results with tight CAS timings. All my 8Pack memory is guaranteed screened Samsung B-Die. The OCUK Product codes are MY-08L-TG & MY-08Q-TG.

Excellent CPU

Certainly worth the extra cost if requiring multiple cores.

hodorhodor 2020-03-09

Runs on Asus B350 Chipset, easy upgrade from 1800x, just replaced CPU, made sure I have latest BIOS before upgrade.

Great CPU much more efficient than the first Generation of the ZEN architecture.

Great processor! Destroys everything you throw at it!

Excellent cpu. Only real shame is I bought it at ~£550 and its now £450 :frowning: big sad. Still, it plays every game you throw at it and renders significantly faster in Maya. Coming from an i7-4790K its a huge upgrade! Take care to make sure you have the latest bios and set fan curves probably. Otherwise the fans on your pc will boost up and down alot. Overall very happy with it. Just a shame about the pricing during the shortage in October/November...

A Beast

I upgraded to this CPU from a Ryzen 2700 and it was the best move I made, I do a fair amount of Video editing as well as a lot of gaming this CPU coped with no problems at all, I did a little test just to see how well it would cope, I converted a fairly large video from mp4 to HEVC (H265) while playing Star Wars Battlegrounds and this CPU cut through it with no issues what so ever, when I checked the CPU usage at it's peak it peaked out at 65%, all I can say is WOW very very nice.

Highly recommended

Crazy fast!

As I was upgrading from an 8350fx Black am3+ this is a HUGE inprovement! I do a lot of video work, streaming and audio production and the cpu does not even break a sweat. A little on the expensive side, but I am happpy with its performance per £££.

Great CPU

Took 2 weeks to arrive but worth the wait. This CPU is worth every penny and can handle anything you throw at it. Buy DDR 3600, tweak the timings and get the best out of the 3900x. Thanks for the greqat service!

Ryzen 9 39900x review

This is a fantastic chip for throughput. If gaming is your main objective this si not the chip for you. If you really want to spend 500 squid get the 9900k for gaming. however i personally would recommend the ryzen 7 3800x or even one of the older ones. This would give you the best performance to cost ratio.
But backt o the 3900x. As i game a bit and i do a lot of heavy load multitasking i can confirmt hat this handles multitasking like a 10000000w lazer cuts through butter. Its a beautiful cpu for heavy multithread loads. I simply cannot really stress it. it barely ever reaches 30-50% load.
For gaming, it is not the best, sure... but it handles everything beautifully. world of warcraft retail at 100-250 fps easy, world of warcraft classic 4k at 100+ fps easy... modern AAA titles at well in excess of 100 fps no prob and even crysis at 200-500 fps on my rtx 2060 super oc with ray tracoing enabled where ever possible and freesync. So the cpu is no way a bottle neck here.
If your load is geared toward heavy multithreading... this is for you.. if you want to game high end and heavy multi tasking with high loading.. this is for you.
ps... dont waste you time overclocking this cpu..while it can be done and you can achieve 4.4ghz on a serious cooling setup... it is absolutely pointless. this thing is just so freaking powerful out of the box with its built in boost you just dont need it and gain almost nothing.
I know stock is an issue.. but i can verify that it is worth that wait.

This thing is a blast, even upgrading from a 2700X. Multitasking is seamless - you can e.g. run a memory test in the background and still watch YT smoothly, play a 2D strategy game etc.

Everyday tasks are like butter.

Gaming is perfect too.

"Just buy it". ;)

Raw Power

Beastly CPU

Pretty damn good CPU, my particular sample manages 4.5GHz at 1.3v albeit I got lucky looking at reviews so don't expect the same. But with tweaked RAM also my single core in Cinebench R15 beats a 9900K quite well which is surprising and obviously since it's a 12 core absolutely stomps in multitheading. This thing performs amazingly well for very little power from what you may be used too, and while most Zen 2 CPU's come "maxed out" all core overclocks are still useful, and you get new parameters to play with such as the IF clock and better memory support alongside that. This CPU is basically all you could ever ask for in my opinion 10/10
