Hello everyone. After my not so pleasant experience with other major uk pc build retailers I have decided to give overclockers a chance. My basket pc below. Could you kindly let me know whether it looks alright and whether its worth changing anything? Also was thinking whether its better to just order it all and build it myself at home (never done it before), or to let them build it for me (how much would it cost?) My basket at Overclockers UK: 1 x AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Six Core 4.2GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail= £175.00 1 x MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC (Socket AM4) DDR4 ATX Motherboard= £119.99 1 x Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+ 8GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card *BLACK FRIDAY DEAL*= £405.00 1 x Corsair RMx Series RMx650 650W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020178-UK)= £84.95 1 x Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit= £85.99 1 x Patriot Viper VPN100 M.2 2280 PCIe 512GB SSD (VPN100-512GM28H)= £68.99 1 x Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler= £27.95 1 x Corsair iCUE 220T Airflow RGB Midi Tower Smart Case- White Tempered Glass (CC-9011174-WW)= £79.99 Total: £1,061.06 (includes shipping: £13.20)
Post in Customer Service - PreSales, showing them the spec, and ask for a build quote. I'd get the Alpenfohn Brocken ECO Advanced cooler instead. It has slightly better RAM clearance, is a little shorter in height and has a slightly beefier heatsink. It also has AM4 socket compatibility out of the box, whereas the Hyper 212 EVO is advertised on OcUK's shop as not having AM4 mounting, with a request to contact CoolerMaster for the right mounting.
From https://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/134177-sapphire-radeon-rx-5700-xt-nitro/ the GPU is 304mm. From https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...e-tempered-glass-cc-9011174-ww-ca-24u-cs.html gpu space is 300mm - so 4mm too short. You *may* be able to sueeze it in but it'll be very tight even if you can - up to you.
Yeah and it may not look that good though. Will go with the pulse version - it’s way smaller. Thank you!
