A new chapter is beginning in The Elders Scrolls Online, and a new part of Tamriel has opened up. High Isle is the next DLC being released for ESO and the first in the game’s sixth chapter – Legacy of the Bretons. This thrilling new arc presents a sinister and political story for players to experience and also unlocks the Systres Archipelago for the first time. This never-before-seen part of Tamriel promises a whole different kind of adventure.

Journey to High Isle

The big selling point of this expansion is of course High Isle, one of the four islands that make up the Systres Archipelago. This island chain is located far to the west of the Tamriel we know, beyond even the Summerset Isles. While it will later in the timeline be considered a territory of Hammerfell, at this stage it is not technically a part of Tamriel

As well as High Isle, players can also explore Amenos. Traverse these two islands and their stunning white cliffs, majestic castles, and perilous jungles. These breathtaking vistas serve as a beautiful backdrop to the chivalric society of the Bretons that call these islands their home.

A New Chapter Begins

Since the Blackwood expansion, ESO players have been contending with Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon. The High Isle expansion marks the beginning of a new chapter in the story. Dubbed Legacy of the Bretons, this epic story will be told across three more DLCs still to come.

This chapter will focus on the machinations of the mysterious Ascendant Lord. He and his shadowy order of knights are out to disrupt peace talks for the ongoing Three Banners War. He and his sinister cabal are pushing the idyllic archipelago to the brink of total catastrophe and threatening all of Tamriel with unending conflict. Should probably put a stop to that soon!

Experience High Isle Hospitality

There is plenty to be experienced as you explore the home of Breton nobility. The new 12-person Trial Dreadsail Reef will see you take on dangerous pirates in their island hideaway. There are also two new companions – Ember the Khajit sorcer and Isobel the Breton knight – you can recruit to accompany you around the Systres Archipelago

In between all your adventuring, you can unwind in your local tavern with a game of cards. No, not Gwent! It’s not Pokémon either. It’s Tales of Tribute, an original fast-paced collectible card game you can play against friends and NPCs.  So, grab a tankard of mead, build your deck, and play a hand to test your mettle.
