Nightingale is the PvE open-world survival game that we’ve been waiting on for some time now. It officially launched into early access on February 20th 2024, and we are heckin’ excited to explore this magical, steampunk land!

What is Nightingale?
Nightingale is an open-world survival game, set in the Fae Realms. You are stranded on the wrong side of a portal, left to survive in this beautiful but deadly world. To make it in this land, you must become a skilled Realmwalker, navigating a transdimensional web of portals in the hopes of finding the last known bastion of humanity: the city of Nightingale.
With its Victorian, steampunk-esque aesthetic, this game is an absolute feast for the eyes. Your adventures will take you through forests, swamps, deserts, and more, each home to deadly creatures, called the Bound. They are fae mimicries of humanity, twisted as they are fearsome. There are even colossal apex monsters that will need to be taken down with the help of friends.
Live Your Best Realmwalker Life
To make sure you are properly prepared for the adversities in the Faewild, you need to build a shelter, craft tools, and gather resources. These will give you the skills, schematics, and materials required for making equipment and weaponry to boost your chances of survival. You can even enhance your gear with magical properties.
There are many realms to explore, each with filled with beauty and danger in equal measure. You can even shape the landscape before you travel, with Realm Cards. These allow you to influence the design of the Realm you’re travelling to, creating an abundance of certain resources, increasing the chances of running into Bounds, and manipulating the environment, itself.
Why Early Access?
Nightingale has been put in early access, rather than a full release, so it can evolve with player feedback. The developers, Inflexion Games, want to work in tandem with the community, to create new gameplay opportunities. They recommend that players who actively want to participate in the development of Nightingale should join their dedicated Discord server. The early access period is expected to last around a year, but this is a rough guestimate and subject to change. New content and fixes will be implemented throughout the duration of early access.
Is Nightingale Multiplayer?
Nightingale can be played solo or as an online co-op. You and the squad can team up in a shared-world realmscape, to combine your strengths and increase your odds of surviving. You can build a communal estate and venture through the realms together.
