Free games? Discounts? New stuff? It’s all here! There are plenty of games, DLC, and more for us to get our teeth stuck into. Here’s everything that’s got us excited this month.

Rooms of Realities

This month’s new game is an anthology of virtual escape rooms. Currently, in early access, Rooms of Realities features a unique VR puzzle experience you can enjoy solo or with your friends in co-op. At the moment, there’s one scenario with three different levels. However, on the full game launch, you’ll be able to play nine levels across three distinct scenarios.

Featuring a range of challenging puzzles alongside a great art style, Rooms of Realities is not one you’ll want to miss out on! What’s more, you can even play a demo of the game right now on the Steam Store page

Tell Me Why

Our free game recommendation for this month’s post is a multi-award-winning episodic adventure game. Tell Me Why is the latest narrative adventure from the studio behind Life Is Strange and centres around recently reunited twins Tyler and Alyson. Take control of their magical bond, to unravel memories of a loving but troubled childhood in a remote town.

Set in beautiful small-town Alaska, Tell Me Why features a Life Is Strange-esque art style, true-to-life characters, and a story packed with gripping choices. The game not only offers a great visual and gameplay experience but has a narrative designed with purpose. DONTNOD Entertainment and XBOX Game Studios conducted on-the-ground research alongside partnering closely with cultural, mental health, and gender advocates to help create a thoughtful true-to-life experience. You can grab Tell Me Why for free until July 1st on Steam.

In Dredge, you explore a mysterious and eerie archipelago, all the while fishing away and discovering why some things are best left to be forgotten. Dredge is currently 20% off on Steam until June 29th

Ragnarock

Finishing of this month’s free, discounted, and new games mega blog is the epic VR rhythm game Ragnarock. Lead your Viking ship to victory, pound your drums to the beat of Viking power metal, set sail against your rivals in multiplayer mode and more in this awesome VR title.

Gaming Deals and Freebies of The Month March

Sons Of The Forest

It was difficult to choose a new game to highlight this month. The tail end of Feb has seen Atomic Heart, Kerbel Space Program 2, and Company of Heroes 3 all launch, just to name a few! However, considering it literally took Steam down to its knees on launch day, Sons Of The Forest is this month’s absolute must-play.

Launched into Steam’s Early Access on Feb 23rd, Sons of The Forrest has already captured the attention of gamers everywhere. With peak player numbers above 200,000 and over 750,000 viewers across Twitch, it’s fair to say we’ve all been infatuated with this game.

Did Sons of the Forest Break the Internet?!

Sent to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, we find ourselves out one helicopter and now surrounded by a cannibal-infested hellscape. Much like the first game, we’ll need to craft, build, and struggle to survive.

However, this time around, not only has the crafting system received a colossal overhaul, but we get help in the form of our crash-damaged but loveable ally Kelvin.

This is now a Kelvin stan blog!

Gaming Deals and Freebies of The Month Febuary

Hi-Fi RUSH

If you’ve been on the internet this week, you’ll have noticed rhythm-based brawler Hi-Fi RUSH taking over on every platform. The game seemingly came out of nowhere after being announced at the recent Xbox Developer Direct Showcase. Created by Tango Gameworks, makers of The Evil Within (yes, really), Hi-Fi RUSH could not be any more of a different vibe.

In Hi-Fi RUSH, you take on the role of Chai after a music player is accidentally fused to him by an evil corporation. A never-ending army of drones is now out to get you. Your only advantage is your new ability to feel the beat of the world around you. That and your new robot arm (naturally)! Is it too early to call game of the year?

TLDR: In Hi-Fi RUSH, your movements and attacks help create the soundtrack of the game. With memorable characters, a killer story, and one hell of a soundtrack, don’t sleep on Hi-Fi RUSH.

Fancy picking up HiFi RUSH for ‘free’? (Sort of) If you’re subscribed to Xbox PC Games Pass, you can grab Hi-Fi RUSH and plenty more games for one monthly fee (just £1 for your first month). Alternatively, you can pick up this gem over on Steam and the Epic Games Store for £26.99.

Hell is Others

In this PVPVE top-down shooter, you take control of Adam Smithson. Existing in his tiny apartment high above Century City, Adam takes excellent care of his only company, a bonsai tree. The tree, just like everything else, requires blood to survive.

“Outside your apartment lies the noir hellscape of Century City.”

Monsters familiar to Adam stalk the same corridors and rooms you search for ḇ̵̨̬̼̘̿͘͠ļ̶̘͓̱͚̃o̷̪͎̹͝õ̶̟͔̤̩̓̈́d̷̙͙̽͂. Take advantage of all of Adam’s senses to remain at the top of the food chain in PVP to avoid losing blood and items you’ve managed to scavenge.

Your plants fed by the blood of your victims will yield better and bigger benefits, and by utilising fertiliser, you can create a selection of bullet-producing plants.

Hell is Others setting, and world is masterfully crafted, taking full advantage of its art style to place us into this noir yet somehow colourful universe. Even better, you can grab Hell is Others for free on the Epic Games Store until February 2nd at 4:00 PM.

What’s more, if you grab four or more Genshin Impact Prime Bundles, you will also receive a custom in-game reward later this year. You can grab this free Genshin Impact power-up bundle on Prime Gaming for the next eight days.

God Of War

The epic tale and critically acclaimed God of War might not have picked up game of the year at The Game Awards, but it has certainly won over leagues of fans. Set in a mythological world inspired by Norse legends, God of War sees us follow Kratos and his son Atreus to fulfil his late wife’s final wish.

The eighth entry into the God of War series has been almost universally accepted as a masterpiece with an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam alongside an array of awards, including Best Narrative, Best Score and Music, Best Audio Design, Best Performance for Christopher Judge’s Kratos, Innovation in Accessibility, and Best Action / Adventure awards at The Game Awards.
