The Endgame Gear OP1 Series
Buckle up, there are six mice, nine switch sets, and two replacement cables hitting the virtual shelves today. The star of the show is the OP1 Gaming Mouse – in 1K, RGB, and 8K Editions. For the accessories, we have the OP1 Switch Sets, with eight two packs and one universal bundle, and the OP1 Flex Cord 5.0 Replacement Cable, in black or white.

The OP1
There are three new Endgame Gear OP1 gaming mice, each available in black or white (Dark Frost or White Frost for the RGB edition). These three models share many features, like having a redefined shell shape optimised for claw grip that enhances comfort and being wired. However, each also has its own defining feature – the key facet that makes it the gaming mouse for you!
OP1
The standard OP1 gaming mouse is the foundation for the whole series. Developing on the expectations set with the OP1we, this gaming mouse has an STM32 ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller that optimises internal signal processing. As a result, you can game on with a less than 1ms input latency on a 1000Hz polling rate.
OP1 RGB
The OP1 RGB makes cosmetic changes to the standard model. Internally, it is the same spec as the OP1, but the external shell will elevate your aesthetic to new heights. Similar to the XM1-RGB gaming mice, the OP1 RGB has a translucent shell and vibrant RGB lighting. This can be cycled through three stunning effects – single colour solid, single colour breathing, and RGB colour cycle – or turned off completely. (We’re not sure when a moment would call for no RGB, but it’s good to have the option!)
OP1 8K
For the ultimate in speed and precision, the OP1 8K is equipped with a Nuvoton M483 MCU that facilitates an 8K polling rate. Still a relatively new innovation, an 8K polling rate means this gaming mouse sends 8000 data reports per second. As a result, you get ultra-fast tracking, true pixel precision, and minimal delay. The OP1 8K will be your secret weapon to dominating the battlefield!

Pixart PAW3395 Sensor
The OP1 Series is all about speed, precision, and power. Nothing delivers this better than the Pixart PAW3395 optical sensor. This has 650 IPS tracking, 50G acceleration, and up to 26,000 CPI, giving you an undeniable competitive edge. Better yet, this sensor is equipped with Motion-Sync technology. This innovation helps to provide consistent data intervals which results in the smoothest gameplay yet.
Mechanical Switches
The key to a great gaming mouse is a crisp and satisfying click. The OP1 is equipped with Kailh GX mechanical switches, with a short, well-defined actuation point and tactile feedback. What’s more, they are rated for 80 million actuations, enhanced durability you can rely on. Crisp clicking action for days. Pairing all this with a balanced design, these switches are perfect for spam clickers and all your fast-paced gaming needs.
A core tenant of the OP1we was that it was customisable. The OP1 wired gaming mouse is no different. The Kailh GX switches can easily be swapped out for other mechanical micro-switches. Don’t know where to start? There are nine compatible switch packs coming up shortly!
Hybrid Skate Design
Taking customisation a step further, the OP1 features Endgame Gear’s Hybrid Skate Design. The underside of the shell is crafted so that it can support either large or small skates, depending on your preferences, set-up, and gameplay style. Better yet, both a small and large skate set are included so you can explore the different gliding styles to your heart’s content.
Out of the box, the OP1 uses the small skates as they offer the best balance of surface area, weight, and glide properties. This set features two medium and two dot skates and should ideally be used with hard gaming surfaces. Alternatively, the large set includes two skates that fill the designated area and work great with soft mouse mats.
The Switches
Oh boys, the Endgame Gear OP1 Switch Packs offer us some serious choice! There are eight of these enthusiast-grade, mechanical micro-switch sets, each featuring two switches pre-soldered to the PCB. All about that easy installation. (Instructions to follow. Don’t worry, we got you, boo.)
Some come with switches that have an actuation range wider than 10gf. These have been pre-sorted to within a 5gf range, ensuring a consistent click feel. Every set, however, has been optimised in ways to support different play styles, set-ups, and your unique needs. Here’s a quick breakdown, see which switch set vibes with you!
Kailh GX 50-55gf Switches
These are the same switches used in the OP1 gaming mouse, except they have been sorted to have a lighter actuation range. This means they have the same feel as the standard switches but have a feather-light actuation for rapid-fire clicks. They are all about power and precision.
Omron 60m 45-75gf Switches
Looking for smooth yet resilient action? How about an adjustable actuation force? The Omron 60m 45-75gf switches deliver all that and level up your game with precision and reliability. Spicy.
Huano 80m 55-60gf Switches
The Huano 80m 55-60gf Switches feature a swift and tactile click, which is super satisfying. A must-have if you’re after the feedback to help you dominate. Plus, they come in a stylish, transparent blue shell which is the touch of colour you never knew you needed.
TTC Dustproof Gold 80m 55-65gf Switches
Dust is the true foe of any gamer. From clogging up your fans to settling in your keyboard, and now we have to worry about our mouse’s micro-switches, too? Not with the TTC Dustproof Gold 80m 55-65gf Switches. These are incredibly durable switches, designed to prevent dust build up which would otherwise degrade your mouse’s performance. The L0 variant of these switches is very hard to come by, but people who have them swear by these switches. The Universal One
The OP1 Universal Switch Pack is a little different. Instead of featuring one type of switch, this pack includes seven pairs of switches and two universal PCBs. In fact, it has all of the previously mentioned switches, except the Kailh GX set. The perfect switch bundle for exploring different clicks, actuations, and feedback. Heck, you could even mix and match the switches for a truly unique set up.
You can swap as your gaming demands. The switches easily click into the universal PCBs, you just need to be sure they are aligned correctly. Don’t worry though, you’ll soon find out if they aren’t because your OP1 won’t click! All you need to do is open it up again and rotate the switch.
Better yet, the universal PCBs are compatible with most 2- or 3-pin micro switches of a standard height, offering yet more customisation at your fingertips.
It should be noted, all of these switch packs are only compatible with the OP1, OP1 RGB, and OP1 8K. They cannot be installed in the OP1we Series.
How to Install Your New Switches
As promised, here is a step-by-step guide on how to install your shiny new switches into the OP1.
- Locate the screws on the underside of the OP1 and undo.
- Carefully open the back.
- Remove the main button switch cables.
- Hold the shell to the left and use a PH000 screwdriver (not included) to undo the PCB screws.
- Remove the original switches and PCBs – they should come out together.
- Replace with your new chosen switches and PCBs in the top shell.
- Use the PH000 to screw the new PCBs into place.
- Plug the main button switch cables back in.
- Carefully replace the shell and secure in place with the screws.
Voila! In your best meerkat voice, simples!
The Cable
The last product in this incredible drop is the Endgame Gear OP1 Flex Cord 5.0 Replacement Cable. It’s braided, equipped with USB-A, and optimised to facilitate fluid motion. What more do you want from a cable? Consistent power delivery and data transfer? Well, it does that too.
Our favourite detail is that the Flex Cord 5.0 attaches to the OP1 gaming mouse at an angle, to reduce friction and maximise control. The perfect combination, if you ask us!
This cable is compatible with all the wired OP1 mice covered in this blog. Currently, it cannot be used with the OP1we Series.
