My 3070 Ventus 2X OC - I flashed BIOS from 3070 FE - all is good! Now 109%PL (on fact - 112%). Absolutely stable.

Can't decide whether I've got a slight issue with mine or it's my TV and afterburner.

Sometimes my pc POSTs to a normal display them my TV doesn't display the Windows desktop. Unplugging and plugging in the hdmi at the TV sorts it. I've still to try a different cable actually.

Also, it always boots to a 74% fan despite afterburner showing auto fan mode. If I tick auto again then all is good. I've tried reinstalling afterburner.

I suppose I should try a different cable, TV and uninstalling afterburner but anyone got any ideas?

Once in Windows and fan sorted it runs like a charm.

could be a driver problem i had that same problem with my current gpu but i was using vga now im using my dp i havent had that problem, try changing the hdmi cable if it still dose it try a diffrent tv or monitor mate

Hi Guy,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I kinda accidently bought a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC and im unsure if I should return it or keep it. I’ve been trying since launch to get myself a 3080 my pre orders here just never ever moves so i've been looking at other sites. When checking another site I found it was open for pre orders on a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC for about £570 or £580 ish and this didn't seem too overpriced . So I thought hell with it, I'd join the list and see what happens. Well to my surprise I got a dispatch email within the hour and was at my door at 7:30am the next day. I’m in two minds if i should keep it or send it back and keep trying for a 3080?

As your all 3070 owners what's your opinion? If I've got 3080 money ready to spend should I continue my wait or would this 3070 card be perfect for me and 3080 would be overkill? My monitor is 3440x1440 at 144hz. Im looking for gaming in high quality without too much fps drop. Cpu is I7 8700k but this is on the chopping block too for a I7 10800k or a ryzen 5600x not decided yet

If I had the money for a 3080 (well I do but don't want to spend more than £500 on a GPU) I would get one with your monitor.

However, you could probably run the 3070 for a while and sell it when the 3080 comes in stock. Doubt you'd lose too much money unless Nvidia release a 3070ti in the meantime.

Could I use some more frames? Always. Do I want to pay another £250 for them? No. I game at 4k/60 where I can.

Loving my 3070 but the 8gb memory has soured it for me a tiny bit. Have a feeling it will get upgraded much sooner than my 1070 did.

Think it was drivers somehow. DDU and reinstall seems to have sorted it
