Splendor is a great chill game to warm up your brains. You play as a jewel merchant, utilising your resources to acquire mines, artisans, and transportation so you can turn raw gems into beautiful jewels. The aim of the game is to use these gems to attract nobles and earn prestige points. First to fifteen wins. It’s a careful balance of knowing when to hoard or spend your resources – otherwise someone might beat you to the card you want! 

This game can be played with your friends via the online multiplayer or pass and play mode, a split screen PvP style. What’s more, it is supported by Steam’s Remote Play Together feature so you can play with those who don’t even have the game.

Wingspan 

If you’re at all involved in the board gaming community, then you’ll know Elizabeth Hargrave’s Wingspan has really taken flight! In this game, you need to manage your resources and attract birds to the three habitats on your plateau. The more birds, the more powerful your actions, and the more points you can score. At the end of three rounds, the person with the highest score wins. Each game is different, as there are 170 unique bird cards in play (all with beautiful animations!) and there are multiple end-of-round scoring cards to have in place. 

Wingspan can be played with one to five players, online or via shared split screen. What’s more, it has full crossplay support, so it doesn’t matter what platform the gang is playing from. (Except, of course, the physical game!)
