Yes, as any replacement will get sent to him i suspect. You could ask AMD to send it to the new address, but I'm not sure if they would. I am fairly sure warranty is tied to the original purchaser only.

If the person you bought it from will help you out and ship the replacement to you then you are good and will be okay. But if you bought that outside of the MM, that could be a big ask. Really depends how honest and helpful the seller is.

Do AMD not think people should be allowed to move home? ;)

Control for me is the highlight so far for Ray tracing it's also not a bad game.
I am playing 1440p with rendering down to 1080p all settings maxed apart from Ray tracing on high I am getting from 70 to over 100fps
I have enabled RIS Radeon Image Sharpening and honestly I can't tell the difference it looks like 1440p

The game is also a lot better than I was expecting.

Tip for anyone still looking a friend signed up to a free discord channel that gave out stock alerts. He sent me 3 links on Thursday. 3070, 6800 XT & 6800.

I bought a 6800 Red Devil as it was the only one in stock by the time I opened the website. Bought it for a silly price I know. Expected DPD delivery on monday so no problem. Then received a DPD alert of delivery at 6pm Saturday, great. Except it was too my work address as I have to maintain servers on a daily basis so have travel permission.

Now in the past for some reason the weekend DPD drivers aren't 100% reliable at finding the address so was already expecting a missed delivery. I drove to work though as I had some weekend work to do anyway so what the heck. Long story short despite turning all the lights on, parking my car right outside the door the driver chose to pass on my delivery so it seems! Black picture posted in the DPD as some **** poor excuse for no delivery. Previous drive pictured the closed parking barrier as an excuse despite the front door being before the barrier :)

No one to respond to the help line or even the chat line. Several snotty texts sent about travel wasted time, wasted travel blah blah blah.

Lets see if I get any response from DPD. I can almost guarantee the Monday driver will have zero problems delivering. Still playing Rimworld anyway so hardly going to benefit from an overpriced GPU!

Quick question is Minecraft raytrace OK on a 6800 series? As I'd have to buy the Bedrock version to play I believe?

**EDIT actually I 've seen enough to know it will work though not exactly brilliantly.

My 6800xt Red Devil LE will be arriving tomorrow and I've seen this here...

https://www.kitguru.net/components/...ss/powercolor-rx-6800-xt-red-devil-review/19/

What is the software being used in the first screenshot on that page? Where your can adjust various GPU settings.
Is that the preferred one to use..?

Last bit..... Will the card also work with Afterburner Rivatuner, I've been using those for display info when gaming as needed.

It has been years since I last used an AMD card, well ATI at that time.

Thanks

That's Wattman and it's AMD's own Settings tool and is part of the Adrenalin driver suite. It's part of the AMD control panel. I used it extensively for undervolting my old Vega 64 and it had it's issues like not keeping settings and randomly resetting. Wattman has it's own display info but I never used it so can't comment on how good it is. Afterburner may or may not work you'll have to give it a go and see.

Looks a shame to take off that nice looking cooler :(

I know. I had it on air cooling for a while and loved it but my custom loop is built in a way to incorporate a water cooled graphics card.

I could get around it but looking at it from a performance perspective it run boosts clocks up to 2.6ghz at about 50c core 65c Hotspot after hours of gaming totally silent.

The stock coolers not been put back in the box though its on display. :)
