What are the Different PC Cases Sizes?
PC cases come in many shapes and sizes but can generally be grouped into three main categories: Small Form Factor, Mid Tower, and Full Tower.
- Small Form Factor cases include those that utilise Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX motherboards. They are ideal for the PC enthusiast who wants a powerful gaming PC but has limited space or must travel a lot. An SFF PC case can come in a range of configurations, from console-like cubes to small footprint towers. - Mid Tower PC cases are what most people consider to be the standard case size. Within the internal structure, there is normally enough space for an ATX motherboard, with some even able to support E-ATX boards. What’s more, you can install a full range of powerful components, such as AiO CPU coolers, ATX power supplies, and full-sized graphics cards. Mid Tower cases offer an exceptional balance between cooling and performance, thanks to excellent airflow designs. Many feature multiple locations for both fans and radiators to be installed.
- Full Tower cases offer the ultimate in space for components, with the ability to easily install E-ATX motherboards, NVIDIA RTX 4090 graphics cards, and other large hardware. What PC cases can fit an NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU?
