Configure Your Own Award-Winning Overclockers UK PC

Custom PC Being Built

Take the stress out of building your dream PC and use our Custom PC Configurator. With a plethora of customisable options at your fingertips to meet your exact needs and requirements, our gaming PCs are assembled with precision by our engineers. They are guaranteed to provide reliable performance with every gaming session.

Choosing your base machine

To get started with your custom PC, we have a range of OcUK Tech Labs base machines. Whether you’re looking to revolutionise your gaming experience, run powerful programming software, or need a reliable PC for your office, we have the computer for you.

Our base machines are split by Intel or AMD – and from there, you’ll find a variety of options for hardware and key additional components, plus accessories such as RGB lighting, security software, peripherals, chairs, desks, and even monitors. A true one-stop shop for an entire set-up.

Case, Cooling, and Core Components

Deciding your form factor should dictate your choice of case, from spacing-saving small form factors to monolithic full towers. This will then allow you to make your choice from Mini-ITX* to ATX motherboards and beyond.

Adding in your cooler is also dictated by your case, with varying clearance heights for tower coolers or radiator support for all-in-one water-cooling units. The more powerful your choice of processor, the more efficient cooler you’ll require.

Your RAM requirements depend on what you’re aiming to do. For light home usage we’d recommend 8GB RAM minimum, ramping up to 16GB and 32GB for gamers, then 64GB and over for creators and professionals. RAM is expandable, but we’d recommend that you use the same RAM as you currently have or completely replace it if you cannot get matching modules.

*It’s worth noting, that Mini-ITX motherboards only have one PCIe slot. Normally this isn’t an issue. For those looking to utilise a graphics card, sound card, or any other PCIe device, you would require a Micro-ATX or larger motherboard with 2 or more PCIe slots.

Graphics Cards

A graphics card isn’t just for gamers, but it can often seem that way.

For home users who require more than one monitor, you could opt for an entry-level discrete GPU, which often doesn't require additional power. This unlocks the ability to run multiple monitors, especially with higher resolutions.

Gamers should opt for either NVIDIA GeForce RTX or AMD Radeon graphics cards. These allow you to use monitors with higher refresh rates and resolutions, play games with stunning quality and smoothness, plus benefit from technology such as Ray-Tracing.

Storage

Most modern PCs can be built up of super speedy M.2 SSDs, 2.5” SATA SSDs, or mechanical HDDs. M.2 SSDs make for a great primary storage device, where you’ll install Windows 10 and any essential applications.

2.5” SATA SSDs can also be used as a primary drive, and are more affordable for larger capacities. This makes them a great choice for game drives or working drives, as it allows for faster read and write speeds overall.

Mechanical hard drives have a spinning platter, so are normally used as a basic storage device, where you can leave files that you don’t need to access as often. The benefits of mechanical HDDs are they are often far more affordable and can reach extremely large capacities, of up to and over 10TB.

Power Supply And More

The power supply is arguably one of the most important parts of your PC. It delivers power to everything inside and is not something you should skimp on. Having enough reliable power for your PC is key and, if you’re thinking of future upgrades, it might be worth having more than you need.

Extra components such as sound cards and network cards are generally PCIe devices – so you’ll need to have at least one open slot. A sound card allows for extra or high-quality audio I/O options, which would be ideal for audiophiles. Network cards have various connectivity options, most common being Wi-Fi. RGB lighting is an accessory that can make your PC unique and one of a kind – and there's plenty available to choose from.

3-year parts and labour warranty on all custom-built PCs
