Superb ITX motherboard from rox strix. Works perfectly out the box with AM5. DDR5 support and easy bios updates. Works great in my new itx build.
Build quality: excellent components and materials throughout. Very stylish looks with the ROG emblem emblazoned. Not too tacky with RGB on the actual board – versatile and could fit into many different builds (stealth or RGB). Very tough – no worries even when screwing in the AM4/AM5 cooler. Northbridge fan inaudible. Compatibility: Worked well with my high profile Dominator RAM. Cooler clearance very good due to the central location of the CPU mounting location. Ports located ideally and allowed for easy cable routing in my Meshroom case. M.2. SSD in front location very well cooled with the motherboard’s built in cooler. BIOS: Very intuitive and lots of support with ASUS (had the Z170i PRO GAMING which was very well supported for a long time). BIOS flashback utility very good if you want to flash with just a USB stick. Overclocking: Haven’t attempted yet but very easy to do with the built in BIOS features or via the AI suite. Good selection of VRMs for overclocking too.
I knew when I opened the classy box that it'd be something special. The board has a nice heft and solidness to it which just shows how ASUS have done a good job in selecting the components/materials for it. BIOS very intuitive to use and easy to update. Flashback tool is very useful if you don't want to update the conventional way and just want to plug in a USB and update that way. Useful QLED light to show you if any errors on CPU/RAM/GPU with corresponding light - was very useful in diagnosing a faulty stick of RAM I had purchased. Cooler compatiblity is excellent - fit easily with my 280mm AIO cooler and no issues with RAM clearance either. ASUS have a good history of bios updates (used to have the Z170i Pro Gaming) so I know well supported for a while still. Haven't yet tried overclocking my CPU yet but judging by the high quality components should be a doozy! Overall well impressed by the board.
