The Glorious Model D Gaming Mouse comes equipped with an optical Pixart PMW 3360 sensor and six buttons. The sensor offers a very high tracking resolution of 12,000 DPI. What stands out about it is the honeycomb design of the top of this professional-grade gaming mouse. This enables the total weight to be reduced to a mere 68 grams. Below it is the chic RGB-LED lighting that helps show off the insides of the mouse. The durable Omron switches ensure the long life of the Glorious Model D.
The modern PMW 3360 sensor from Pixart scans the surface with 12,000 DPI tracking and achieves remarkable precision in doing so. The Glorious Model D Gaming Mouse can also be adjusted in four different DPI levels. An LED on the bottom shows the current setting, while the colours can be coordinated via software. The preset DPI values can be customised via the software.
Apart from the extensive range of DPI settings, the Glorious Model D Gaming Mouse also manages to stand out from the competition in other respects. Tracking up to 50G of acceleration at speeds of up to 250 IPS, the mouse has been designed from the ground up for fast movements. The 1000 Hz polling rate and the large PTFE mouse glides help ensure flawless tracking as well, across just about any surface you are likely to use. Additionally, the mouse's cable is braided, as well as being both flexible and light. The result is a wired mouse that could almost be mistaken for a wireless mouse.
The gaming mouse includes six programmable buttons. Apart from both primary buttons that are equipped with Omron switches, there is a DPI button as well as the clickable scroll wheel on the top and two switches on the right side of the mouse. The Model D is designed for right-handed usage, helping to reduce the load on the finger when activating buttons and preventing unnecessary movements. Extended gaming sessions are not a problem thanks to the ergonomic shape of the Glorious Model D.
The unique feature of the Glorious Model D Gaming Mouse lies in the honeycomb pattern adorning the top and bottom of the mouse. Thanks to the multitude of cut-outs, the total weight of the mouse has undergone a marked reduction. The honeycomb pattern lends the mouse a unique appearance and enables users to enjoy an unhindered view of the mouse's interior as well as the mechanical parts. The RGB-LED lighting only adds to the unique looks of this mouse. The added benefit of this honeycomb design is the fact that not only does it look cool, it is cool - with your hands staying fresher for longer over the course of extended gaming sessions.
The RGB-LED strips located on the sides of the mouse illuminate the interior, and with 16.8m colours and eight effects to choose from (customisable via software or on the switch on the mouse) you can choose the exact colours you need. The software does however offer a larger range of customisation options.
