A dual drive NAS counters this with redundancy. So if one drive fails, the other drive will have automatically backed up your information, eliminating the need to restore data. However, when choosing a dual drive NAS it’s important to remember that it will only run at half the stated capacity. For example, a 4TB drive will only offer 2TB since it mirrors the data between the two drives.
