Gigabyte B450M-DS3H AMD B450 (Socket AM4) DDR4 Micro-ATX Motherboard

The B450 chipset forms the centrepiece of the Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard and has been specially developed and optimised for 2000- series (Pinnacle Ridge) Ryzen CPUs. B450 motherboards support all features of 2nd gen Ryzen processors, such as the AMD's new XFR2 overclocking. Additionally, the motherboards support up to 64 GB of RAM with a guaranteed clock frequency of 2.667 Megahertz. Overclocking to higher frequencies is also an option, although the increase will depend on the motherboard.

The Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro-ATX motherboard comes with a PCI-Express 3.0 slot with full x16 connectivity for graphics cards as well as a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot with x4 connectivity. For additional expansion cards, this motherboard offers a single PCIe 2.0 x1 slot. The four RAM slots support up to 64 GB of DDR4-RAM with a clock frequency of up to 2.667 MHz and this can be increased via overclock to frequencies of up to 3.200 MHz.

An M.2 slot with PCIe connectivity is available thanks to this being an AM4 motherboard. M.2 SSDs with the advanced NVM-Express protocol (NVMe) and connectivity via four PCI-Express 3.0 lanes are capable of data throughput at speeds of up to eight times faster than those of SATA 6G hard drives while supporting transfer rates of up to 32 Gbit/s. The slot supports M.2 drives up to 80 mm (2280).

The Gigabyte B450M DS3H has an I/O panel that offers four USB 3.0 Type A ports. Additionally it also has four more USB 2.0 ports. For CPUs that come with integrated graphics like AMD's Raven Ridge, there is also an HDMI- and a DVI-D ouput.
