When you have the world’s most advanced processor architecture for gamers and content creators, the possibilities are endless. Whether you are playing the latest games, designing the next skyscraper, or crunching data, you need a powerful processor that can handle it all—and more. Hands down, the AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series desktop processors set the bar for gamers and artists alike.
AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series processors power the next generation of demanding games, providing one of a kind immersive experiences and dominate any multithreaded task like 3D and video rendering2, and software compiling.
With great processing power comes the bleeding-edge technologies to support. All AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series processors come with a full suite of technologies designed to elevate your PC’s processing power including Precision Boost 2, Precision Boost Overdrive3 and PCIe® 4.0.
Not only are these processors drop-in ready on 500 series motherboards with a simple BIOS update, you can easily tweak and tune your processor with Ryzen™ Master and AMD StoreMI.
BIOS updates supporting the AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series desktop processors on AMD 400 Series chipsets are expected to be available starting January 2021; exact availability will vary by manufacturer and motherboard model.
As with previous Ryzen generations we recommend 8 Pack memory solutions for Ryzen 5000 series with 3600MHz being the sweet spot in either 16G and 32G Dual channel kit capacities.

Upgraded to this from a first gen Ryzen 7 1700 and its so much faster on Low settings @2560x1080 In Warzone i was getting around 80fps now im over 130fps with a 2070 Super and in SOTTR the Benchmark on Ultra @1080p has gone from 89fps to 131fps :) would highly recommend if your a gamer and game at 1080p primarily which is more CPU intensive.
This was a massive upgrade from my old i5 6600k. But the performance boost has been worth the money.Every aspect of using my PC is faster. My main use is gaming, and just one example is Halo Reach on my old cpu ran at 170fps and now with the 5800X is 350fps and above!.If you're motherboard supports it buy it!!.
