Effortless
by ChristianI don't have currently the rest of my build to support this properly, but despite this my 5950x has taken everything I can throw at it and handled it without breaking a sweat.I am aircooling with Noctua and that pairing has worked in all situations so far. I haven't gone much above 63 degrees, even under load - something which normally lasts for a short time as the multiple threads handle the editing that I have done (Resolve) in a fraction of the time it used to take. I have seen 5.2 ghz on four threads so far when testing using 3D mark (which is blisteringly quick despite being paired currently with single rank memory (upgrade awaited). I have also seen the over temperatureing (to 62 degrees with less than 10% load) that occurs with using epic games launcher but plainly this is something that all Ryzen's experience and epic is a mess in other ways.If you are using just for games this is seriously overkill as no game that I have played uses more than 20-30% of this beasts potential. When you step it up and move into video editing, this processor shows it's true power and value. Recommended.
