Aesthetic
A new shroud with metal accents mirrors the design aesthetic of ROG Strix motherboards. The side is lit with an addressable RGB strip that can be customized with Armoury Crate to sync up with other ROG products to create a uniform aesthetic.
Engineering
Top-shelf capacitors, chokes, and MOSFETs are selected to effortlessly deliver hundreds of watts at a millisecond's notice. Dubbed Super Alloy Power II, these components are soldered to the PCB using an Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing process, ensuring accurate placement and a perfect joint every time.
Cooling
A MaxContact heat spreader efficiently transfers heat into a new heatsink that spans most of the card's 2.9-slot footprint. On top, three optimized Axial-tech fans work in tandem to drive air through the entire array, helping to keep temperatures under tight control.
Software
Hardware and software come together to let gamers fully customize and control their gaming experience. GPU Tweak II enables tweaks and monitoring, XSplit offers a robust streaming solution, and wtfast can improve routing to game servers for a more stable gaming connection.
This GPU works really great with my Asus PG32UQ monitor. I play Destiny 2 and Call of Duty Warzone and it really delivers the 4k experience even though some are saying that I need a 3080 for that. Well, this beast does the job and I'm happy.
This card is an absolute beast... I upgraded from a dual fan GTX 1660 Super and it's enormous in comparison so make sure you have the space for it in your case (I believe it's the same heatsink/fans as the more powerful 3080 and 3090 ROG Strix models, so it should be more than capable of cooling the 3070 whatever is thrown at it). The boost clock on this model is also something out of the ordinary too, going up to 1905MHz out of the box, which is one of the higher (maybe highest?) I've seen out of the box for a 3070. So far I've only played Shadow of the Tomb Raider but it looks absolutely gorgeous - noticeably better than my 1660 Super. If you've got the physical space for it in your PC and a couple of 8 pin PCIE cables spare, and if you can find one for sale (every GPU is hard to find just now, as everyone knows), this is as good as it gets for an RTX 3070.
Well built card with quiet and efficient coolingIncredibly hefty card that oozes quality. Has a great ability to stay cool and quiet under load and clearly stomps on the 2080Ti with ease. Will be enough for me and my basic 3D work and playing CoD until my eyes go red.
