This is wonderful board, but it is woefully over priced.
It is feature rich but for nearly a thousand GBP it should be.
The BIOS instability dissapointed me early on and the DDR5 support was awful, but it is slowly improving with each update, but to get a stable experience i relaly have struggled over the last few months sinc ebuying it, i also own a HERO board and have had the xact same DDR5 heartache.
I guess this is the downside of being an early adopter admittedly, but 12th gen and the Z690 has been a crock of cr&p stability wise right up until the last bios upate of 1505 where it has finally now become reasonably stable and worthy of a purchase.

This is quite simply this is one of the best motherboards that you can buy to compliment your 12900K from ASUS or any other brand. Is has more features than you can shake a stick at, and has everything you could ever need to future proof your build for the next 5-7 years. With PCI-E 5, DDR5, the capacity for 5 NVMe drives and multiple onboard headers, including two USB 3.2 headers and a front Thunderbolt 4 connector. This motherboard compliments my new build wonderfully, and was well worth the money. It was definitely the most expensive motherboard I have ever bought. but it is worth it time over. The onboard screen helps with error codes, and the RGB is subtle but complimentary to the system.A solid 11/10 from me, I couldn't be happier.
