With the PCEM2-N , AXAGON offers an internal adapter that connects an NVMe M.2 SSD to the PC via a PCI Express slot. This is particularly useful if the mainboard does not have a corresponding M.2 slot or if these are already occupied. The adapter enables the use of single and double-sided M.2 SSDs in x16 PCIe 3.0 slots and does not require a bezel.
The PCI Express bus powers the PCEM2-N directly, eliminating the need for an external source. A large-area heat sink made of aluminum helps to better dissipate the waste heat of the M.2 SSDs under load.
