The be quiet! System Power B9 in Detail:

These robustly designed power supplies offer a low build depth of just 14 cm, making them compatible with older and smaller cases. A 120 mm fan that adjusts in accordance with the load. At low loads of around 20 percent, the power supply produces just 9,2 dB (A) noise so as to be virtually silent.

Thanks to the extensive use of efficient and power-saving circuitry, power consumption and heat are minimised. Standby power use amounts to just 0,15 Watts. At a load of 20, 50 and 100 percent the power supply reaches a power effectiveness of up to 89 percent. For this the PSU was awarded with 80Plus certification.

With its 600 Watt rating, this power supply is on the more powerful end of the B9 series line up. In addition to powerful 3,3 V- and 5 V rails which, thanks to DC-DC technology are extremely stable. However what really impresses here are the two 28- and 22 A lines that - together - are capable of producing 576 Watts. Multicore CPUs, GPUs or RAID arrays will be supplied with all the power they could need.

The role of supplying this power falls to the extensive range of connectors. To this end, the power supply comes with a 20+4-pin- and a 4+4-pin ATX motherboard connector. Graphics card are supplied power via two 6+2-pin connectors. Six SATA- and two Molex connectors will keep even a large number of peripherals supplied with more than enough power. All cables are sleeved and securely fastened to the power supply.

Also worthy of note is the generous 3 year manufacturer's guarantee on offer as well as the availability of all necessary electrical protections e.g. over- and undervoltage protection, short circuits, overheating and overload protection.
