Excellent keyboard but a fragile finish
by RobI have two of these, one for my gaming PC and another for work, both with the silent red switches. 'Upgrade' from a Filco Majestouch 2 with MX Browns. This keyboard is fantastic to type on and has a softer feel compared to the MX Brown, feels a little more like the usual membrane keyboards. The RGB is great, very bright and uniform -however I don't really make full use of it, work keyboard is set to full white and my gaming PC is set to fully red.I've historically had issues with every keyboard i've had where many of the keycaps have worn down after only a few months to the point where there are no longer any letters on them (I'm a programmer and am typing constantly all day) With my old Filco I even spend at extra 60 odd quid on 'double shot' keycaps which stopped this problem. I believe this keyboard already has these double shot style keycaps with it and up to now - around 18 months of daily use the keycaps are still like new. This also has detachable USB-C connector to the keyboard which is another plus, makes it very easy to unplug to move when cleaning desk, or to empty out the inevitable crumbs! The only downside so far to this is that the black coating on the keyboard 'case' is chipping and wearing off very easily, this began after only a few weeks of owning it. it's silver underneath so rather obvious and this has happened on both of mine in the same place - down the left side edge. I did consider returning for a replacement but at the time there was no stock so I never bothered. It's not getting much worse so I just live with it now.
