The EPOS H3 Hybrid gaming headset provides both wired connectivity with USB or console cables and simultaneous Bluetooth® connectivity. An adjustable headband and angled ear cups provide ergonomic fit and long-wearing comfort while a lift-to-mute, detachable boom arm microphone provides crisp intelligible game chat.
The EPOS Hybrid products deliver multiple connectivity options to provide an optimal gaming experience. The EPOS H3 Hybrid headset delivers high-quality game audio with exchangeable USB PC cable and 3.5 mm console cable as well as a Bluetooth® option.
There are two microphones in the H3 Hybrid; the high-quality main is in the detachable boom arm while the secondary in the ear cup allows for on-the-go calls when the boom arm is detached. A magnetic connection between the boom arm and headset makes removal and re-attachment intuitive and effortless. When the boom arm is detached, a cover plate protects the connectors and keeps the look of the headset seamless.
The versatility of the H3 Hybrid headset lets you use it in all walks of life. Take advantage of the EPOS Gaming Suite for 7.1 surround sound when connected via USB to your PC. Set the smart button so you can always quickly be in control of your audio e.g., by enabling/disabling surround sound. Wear it while watching your favourite streamer on your smart phone connected via Bluetooth® or play your game on your commute connected to your portable gaming device with the 3.5 mm console cable. Dual connectivity also allows audio mixing with an audio stream from USB or console cable and another via Bluetooth®. With separate control over the volume of each stream, you can make a call or chat with your friends via a 3rd party app on your phone while gaming.
Adjust the fit of the headset with the built-in stainless-steel slider in the headband. Remember your most comfortable fit with the help of length indicators and click stops on the slider. Hinged ear cups that can be angled to fit any face shape and ergonomic ear pads designed to conform to the anatomy of your ear create an excellent acoustic seal and long wearing comfort.

How do I power on the headset?
The headset powers on and off automatically when the USB cable is plugged in or removed unless a simultaneous Bluetooth® connection is also active. To power off when Bluetooth® is active, press the power button.
For console cable or Bluetooth® connections, press the power button to turn the headset on and off.
How is the volume controlled?
As it is possible to have more than one connection, the volume wheel will behave differently depending on the connection.

What is audio mixing?
Dual connectivity allows dual audio mixing with an audio stream from either your USB connection or console cable with another one via Bluetooth® on your phone. With separate control over the volume of each stream, you can make a call or chat with your friends via a 3rd party app on your phone while waiting for matchmaking without losing game audio.
For PC users, insert the USB cable into the USB port and go into pairing mode by pressing the smart button for 3 seconds to also pair up with your phone. For console users, insert the analogue console cable and go into pairing mode in the same way.
What is the battery life of the headset, and how can I find out the battery status?
The H3 Hybrid features a 37-hour battery life when connected via Bluetooth®. The battery status is given every time the headset turns on and/or when the USB cable is plugged in. This ensures, you always know when it is time to charge the headset. The headset automatically charges when it is plugged in via USB. The LED will also show the battery status when you are charging the headset.
Please note, that the battery of the H3 Hybrid is not replaceable.
Does the headset come with its own software?
Yes, the H3 Hybrid headset works with the EPOS Gaming Suite, which is available to download on our website. The EPOS Gaming Suite allows for customization of your sound with regards to 2.0 stereo/7.1 surround sound, equalizer settings, reverberation, voice enhancement, side tone, noise gate, and much more.
Please note, that the EPOS Gaming Suite only is available on PC (Windows 10).
What is the smart button for?
The smart button has multiple functions. First and foremost, it can be used to pair your H3 Hybrid to your mobile device via Bluetooth®.
Pairing:
The smart button can also be used to take incoming calls by pressing once. If the H3 Hybrid is connected to your phone with Bluetooth® while you are also playing on either PC or console, the headset will let you know when you receive a call. Depending on your specific phone model, you will either hear a standard ringing tone or you will hear a door-knock sound indicating an incoming call. By pressing the smart button twice, you can reject the call.
If you have downloaded the EPOS Gaming Suite to your PC, you can set the smart button there, and use it while gaming e.g., by enabling/disabling surround sound with one press.

How do the microphones work?
The H3 Hybrid has a boom arm with a high-quality microphone for communication. If you do not want to use the boom arm it can easily be detached. There is a second microphone on the ear cup that can be used when boom arm is detached for e.g., on-the-go calls. As the second microphone is placed further away from your mouth it will not pick up your voice as well as the main microphone and you will also experience that it will pick up more noise from your surroundings. Therefore, we always recommend that you use the main boom arm if you are in noisy surroundings or if a correct call out can be the deciding factor to whether you win the match or not.
If you wish to be muted, you can always lift the microphone to mute. However, if the boom arm is detached, you must mute yourself on your preferred gaming platform as the second microphone will always be unmuted when the boom arm is detached.
