I've had this graphics card for a year now and have had no issues I highly recommend buying it when it's available

RTX On?

by Using since 24.08.2020 star star star star star

So I have been using this card for basically a year and a bit now. I did not do any crypto mining with it, even with no limiter on the card for that, and I do somewhat regret it. HOWEVER, it has been a great card to game with. Cyperpunk looks great, and although I haven't had much use for it on RTX mode outside of that game, when I do game on your standard shooter or other non RTX game, it is still fantastic in raw performance, and constantly keeps everything on the highest setting, with my only limiting factor being storage space and network speed. If you get this now you will not regret it either. Although I haven't made use of its little LED screen, its really something quirky and a first for me as you don't usually see something like this very often. Most of the time it's a little peripheral you can glue to the inside of your case. Physical size of the card, MASSIVE! Sure it isn't a 3090 founders by any stretch of the imagination, but in terms of your older 1070 card, I am surprised its 2 slot (or 2.5, cannot quite remember) and has a lot of cooling for what some would consider a mid range / low of the high range cards Nvidia have produced (on paper). Now, is it worth getting just for RTX, NO. But I think if you plan on not upgrading in the next...3 years at least, this is still something to get. Sure there will always be a new technology and a new GPU in the coming year or two, but in reality the price to performance even a year on for this card is still great. I did pay more than MSRP, at least £200, but after it's use I don't really care as I haven't needed to swap it back out with my old Titan Xp (Star wars edition) or anything else I have accumilated over the time of its purchase. Drivers are a hit and miss but for the most part I have only had issues with Nvidia's capture software. No game or update has bricked this GPU (knock wood it never does!) if anyone was curious on reliablilty.

Excellent card runs out of the box

Set up was a breeze just installed Dragon Centre and Aorus Engine making sure all up to date and my pc runs Unigine at full max at 115fps. Lcd is gimmicky for Gifs etc but good for displaying temp and frame rate. I've had a few times where display is saying Gup Usage 99% but its not even running anything but a restart sorts it. Bought in Jan 2021 For £721
