Good motherboard, both visually and physically. But I do wish it had more fan headers. Had to use a splitter.
Everything works well and can handle the 3900x without issue. Slightly awkward fan header positions if using a larger cooler or case fans are fitted, but it's only an issue the once.
Most modern Gigabyte board I've used. BIOS layout seems a bit clumsy designed, but mostly is fine with fast and easy access and exiting and when at the splash screen, all I got to do is hit F2 once and I am in BIOS, no more having to repeatedly smash F2. The F10 to save and exit is a great to have. There's however no Error code reader of which I knew but still, think it should have been included and maybe 2x more SATA ports on the board. BIOS updates from Gigabyte have been amazing andhad my 3900X and board going from strength to strength. The x2 M.2 ports are great. Using both and the speeds are perfectly fine. Not got a NVME PCIe 4 NVME just yet though. Boot up times have become a lot faster, although would like a few more seconds trimmed off though, but that's only a minor thing of me nitpicking. It feels premium in the hands, a lot better feelingthan my Asus X99 board that I use to have. The 10 USB ports have come in so handy! I'v e got 8 of them plugged up and no issues at all. VRMs are cool and the board is capable of handling a 3900X with ease. Whether it be overclocked or not. RGB headers at the botton and top right are in great positions for most grommets. Fan header placements are poor with 3 at the top and 1 in the middle of the board next to the 4 pin RGB header.Having more nearer the SATA ports and that general areawould have made more sense. I only use one though, but for someone else, this may be an inconvenience. That's most of the pros and cons from my perspective out the way. I do like this board, a lot! More than I was expecting to, especially without the error code reader. It's a good feeling, when you feel like you've made a wise purchase decision. If I had to choose again, I'd probably go for this board again.Best board in it's price range as well and it's always sold out.
