Disappointing
by Byron HinsonBeen a huge fan of LG OLED's for a long time and had various ones for my TV - because of this I thought the best upgrade I could get for my monitor would be this OLED, how wrong could I be - First thing I noticed was how dim it was in the desktop, even at full brightness. Not a huge issue for sure but disappointing. I did the 2 hour firmware update that was supposed to improve things...it didn't. Next was the VRR flickering - never seen or had this on my LG OLED TV which may be because it only goes up to 120hz - but playing a game that was 99% of the time running at 240fps on the 240hz screen I would see the dark flicker every few seconds or so if it dropped even a couple of frames. Made me feel queezy which i'd never felt on a screen before. HDR looked decent when you can actually get it working well on Windows 11 but it wasn't great. I can't fault overclockers for delivery - arrived great. Just a shame this is now the first ever monitor I've returned in 30 years of buying them. For £1000 you expect better.
