Good looking quality motherboard
by Mr Thomas WalkerHaving not upgraded my desktop for over 10 years i am still running on a Phenom X6 1090T... ok for browsing the web but shows it age in games! With the release of the new Ryzen 3000 decided it was time to upgrade so paired this with a Ryzen 7 3700X. Watched a lot of reviews online and decided to go for this board as it fits my budget perfectly. There are other boards that are around the same price and even upto 50 more expensive that this board beats or matches in terms of features and performance. In terms of looks this was also another selling point for me at this price point. I was looking for a clean looking black design with some RGB. Although there isnt much RGB on this board, the bits that are do stand out... sometimes less is more! With the addition of RGB case fans, GPU and RGB RAM, there is more than enough RGB on the board itself to add to the affect without being overpowering. Carbon is a nice touch, the only thing i would change is the silver heatsink around the VRM... it doesnt stand out too much against the black but it would have been nice if that was also black. Not had any issues with thermals with this board and no over bearing noise from the chipset fan either. I dont plan on overclocking the 3700X so this board does more then i need, however it is good to know that if i decide to in future this board has the capacity for it! Also a bonus that it comes with WiFi built in (again wont use it) as the trend seems to be whack another 10-20 on the price and make another board with WiFi for other brands! For what i will need this board is more then enough and gives me headroom if i decide to overclock in future... It is a great mid range board to get you into the X570 platform without having to spend double the money on some of the more expensive boards... for 99% of people this will do exactly what you need at a reasonable price point.
