With the Noctua NA-STPG1 thermal paste sealing cover, you can seal the side cutouts of your AM5 heatspreader and prevent thermal paste from depositing. The contact pressure of the cooler pushes excess thermal paste outwards, where it is difficult to remove and may also damage the CPU and mainboard.
