Great case but
by Jamie SinclairFirstly, this really is a fantastic mini-ITX case with solid build quality and is one of the only reasonably priced cases of this size to have top mounted radiator support. For anyone wondering from the images if this is the old version of this case, this is in fact the new version that has the removable bar behind the PSU and updated design on the case central separator. Storage options are better than I expected with the case saying it supports 2 x 2.5in drives in the front panel but there is space to stack these on top of one another and this space can easily support 4 x 2.5 drives if need be. Thermals and noise are also pretty decent and I have no issues with these areas although, depending on the size of your GPU, thermals may become an issue with the glass panel on the GPU side. First issue I ran into is down to a design flaw in the case whereby the central separator panel that runs down the middle of the case has a slight lip that extends a few millimetres on the MoBo side. This causes an issue when securing an IO shield as it cannot be fully seated into the slot without being wonky. I tried fitting the MoBo with this as it was however, I had to apply significant pressure to line up the standoff screws which was definitely not ideal. As a fix I filed down this lip around 3-4mm where the IO shield would fit and this now seats perfectly. This is a permanent mod however and has certainly voided any warranty. The second issue is glass panel on the GPU side is just far too close to GPU fans and when fitted, chokes the airflow and raises temps by around 10 degrees. For reference, I am using a MSI Gaming X Trio 2080 which is 55.6mm in width. This is really just one of the trade off with this size of case really but defiantly worth pointing out. The third and final issue is the quality of the riser cable that comes supplied with the case. This is simply well under par and was bent and crinkled straight out of the box. I thought this wouldnt be an issue as you are required to bend this fairly significantly to wrap this behind the MoBo and back on itself anyway in order to use it. With this cable, I was met with random freezes, stutter, black screens every time I did the simplest of tasks like open a browser or file explorer, black screen for a few seconds, GPU spike and unusable lag. Dont forget BSOD on every other boot or starting a game. After much troubleshooting and attempted fixes, I replaced the riser cable aaaand ..... Instant fix. This review does sound a little negative however, I really do love this case and very happy with it however there are some design flaws that can be fixed and the riser cable desperately needs looked at by Raijintek. The quality of this cable is simply too low to be acceptable.
