The successful Mugen 5 from Scythe comes in this special PCGH Edition with two fans instead of just one fan and is consistently designed for quiet operation according to the ideas of "PC Games Hardware". To this end, the 120mm fans from the Kaze Flex series operate in a push-pull configuration at only 800 rpm each and generate no more than 14.5 dB(A).

Efficient CPU cooling with the Scythe Mugen 5
In contrast to its predecessor, the Mugen 5 has a slightly different design. Thanks to the six inclined heat pipes, the asymmetrically arranged heat sink does not sit directly above the base plate and thus allows unrestricted access to the memory banks, which can also accommodate expansive memory bars with large heat sinks. The contact points of the six heat pipes have been sensibly distributed on the large aluminum heat sink and, with a total of twelve risers, ensure a high heat transport capacity.

The included fan is a PWM model from Scythe's Kaze Flex series with a very wide control range from 300 to 1,200 rpm. This means that the Mugen 5 is equipped for every application, from ultra-silent to overclocking, after all it generates just 4 dB(A) at minimum speed and in return transports almost 86.93 m³/h at maximum speed.
