Utilising USB Type-C cables, you can daisy chain multiple Streacom VU1 Dials together, to keep track of all aspects of your computer's performance. Steampunk Aesthetics

Add some steampunk flair to your gaming PC with a Streacom VU1 Analogue Dial. The VU1 uses an E-Ink display coupled with a mechanical needle to create a unique way to display your system information. E-Ink displays are most often used in e-readers, as they offer exceptional contrast between any text or graphic against the background, giving an almost paper-like experience. What’s more, with its open-source software, the VU1 can be used to display anything from your CPU temperature to some text of your choice.

In addition to this, the VU1 also offers two more vectors to convey information. The first of which is the needle, facilitating an appealing physicality to the VU1 thanks to its mechanical motion. Alongside this, these dials are equipped with RGB lighting, which is necessary to read the screen as E-Ink displays do not emit light. The colour of the RGB can also be used for conveying system information, such as moving from green to red as a component gets hotter.

It allows developers to add support for these dials to a wide range of existing applications. This seamless integration with your PC’s software means you can see any changes to its performance as it happens, without needing a window open on screen. Having this information easily accessible is useful for a wide range of applications, from a streamer being able to quickly list off stats to their viewers, to an enthusiast builder trying to diagnose an issue with their computer.

One or Many

With a single Streacom VU1 display, you can track one attribute of your PC’s functionality at a time. However, thanks to an innovative daisy chain design, multiple VU1 dials can be connected together, each displaying a different piece of information. To create your network of dials, you will require a Streacom VU1 Hub alongside additional VU1 Dials. The hub boasts three USB Type-C ports, which allows for input from your computer and passthrough to all your dials. Meanwhile, each dial features two USB Type-C ports, for input and passthrough. Using this system, up to 32 dials can be connected to a single hub, for a total of 33 displays!
