This replaced a GeForce 2080 which was no slouch, but boy this card is amazing. Cyberpunk 2077 is as smooth as glass. FS2020 is the same. Build quality is great and I like that the TUF logo is RGB because in most cases the fans aren't visible (unless your case supports vertical mounting) so at least there's some bling to see :).
I have just replaced my aging GTX 1080 with this card to start taking advantage of Ray Tracing & also to game at 4K on my living room TV (after not being able to get hold of a RTX 3 Series a few years ago). So far so good, it just fit in my full ATX case, it really is a beast of a card so definitely check the dimensions before you buy, the build quality was excellent with a real premium feel. Gaming so far has been effortless & lovely to be able to set everything to ultra again at high resolutions & experience games the way they were meant to be played. DLSS v3 should also future proof the card nicely & hopefully it’ll last me 6 years like my old 1080 did! 3 years warranty seemed a bit low to me for such a premium price point, especially when the accompanying 850W-TUF PSU I bought with it came with 10, but I guess that’s just the going rate these days.
This card with 4080 chipset is efficient and silent. But these are bulky and pricey cards. RTX Video Super Resolution increases the quality of 1080p videos to 4K like ones. This works in streams in Edge, Chrome browsers and playbacks in VLC media player.
