Spectre PRO PWM 140mm Fan - White

Following the success of our Spectre™ Fan Series, Spectre Pro PWM ups the ante with an all-new design and enhanced performance. The high pressure and CFM design is controlled by PWM technology for finer speed control - perfect for high-performance CPU coolers. Its dual ring construction not only looks great, but also helps to dampen vibrations that cause unnecessary noise. Reinforced fan blades prevent warping at high RPM levels, while focused airflow ensures cool air can reach all of your installed components. With FDB technology for low noise and long life and availability in both solid black and solid white variants, Spectre Pro PWM is the new gold standard in performance CPU cooling fans.

PWM Technology
True to its namesake, Spectre Pro PWM users pulse width modulation technology to adjust fan speeds. This technology enables your system to control your cooling with much greater precision than conventional linear voltage fans, making them perfect for CPU coolers.

High Pressure/CFM Design
Engineered for maximum pressure and airflow, Spectre Pro PWM delivers a torrent of air that will keep your CPU cool even when the action heats up. Performance freaks are going to love Spectre Pro PWM.

Dual Ring Construction
Using a dual ring construction, Spectre Pro PWM fans not only offer aggressive looks, but also vibration dampening properties, helping to keep noise levels in check. In short, our Spectre Pro PWM looks different because it is different.

Reinforced Fan Blades
High rotation speeds can actually warp fan blades while in motion, resulting in more turbulence and noise. Spectre Pro PWM features reinforced fan blades that resist warping even when spinning at high speeds for maximum cooling performance.

Silent Operation and Long Life
Like our Spectre™ Silent Fan Series, our Spectre Pro PWM features the very same fluid dynamic bearing technology for minimum noise and maximum operating life.

Awesome Performance, but tone changes on

I bought these fans to replace the ones on my Havik 140.
To see if they were worth swapping out i did a little testing.

First and foremost, i love the look of these fans, i have a black and white themed system so they fit in nicely.

I wanted to find some comparisons between example replacement fans and the bundled fans with the Havik, this is nowhere to be found on the internet it seems.

These things push some serious air through a system and using two fans in push/pull on my havik at 1300 rpm they shaved an average of 6C off the max temps of each core, far more than what i was expecting. Note i am using an i3570k OC'd to 4.4ghz @ 1.272V the average temps reduced from 81.5C to 75.5C and delta temps (max temp minus case temp) of 53.9C to 49.2C.

So in short, they outperform the stock NZXT's wavy blade fans by a good margin.

Noise:, here is where they lost a star. I noticed that when mounted vertically as exhaust fans, they made considerably less noise, this is due to the lack of resistance here, however when put on the heatsink, the noise tone changes due to the additional air resistance which is noticeably louder.

This doesn't bother me to be honest as a play with a noise cancelling headset anyway. but to a silence freak, they might be a source of annoyance.

To sum up, they move a lot of air and really do seem to live up to their specs, I do intend to buy more of either these or the LED PWM ones, but they would probably serve better as intake fans to really get the air into your system.

BitFenix Spectre PRO PWM 140mm Fan

That is what I was searching for controllable and the most powerful fan that I ever seen trust me you get this you don't want anything else it so much powerful it makes all other fans look stupid. And for the massive 122CFM you get a very low db for this kind of air.
