Closer to 3.5 stars - good case, but frustrating

by Connor star_border star star star star

First off, this is great for the price. Itx cases are rarely this good a value - especially if you get the version that comes with the RGB fans - and this manages to balance build quality and features. That said... it is lacking. It can fit 3 slot graphics cards, and even has mounts for fans if you're using a smaller one. Yet it's not enough room to mount slim 120mm fans with a 2.5 slot card, such as the 7900XTX reference design. Just a couple more millimeters would've been plenty. Given that this is already quite large for an itx case, it almost feels like an oversight. Thermals are pretty good. I have a low-profile air-cooler with a 25mm fan so my 5800x3d stays plenty cool. GPU can get pretty high if the dust filter is left in place, but removing it does help. That said, I feel this case could've been nigh-perfect if the top had been configured such that you could mount a 120mm fan. As it is, the graphics card exhausts its heat passively, regardless of fan set up, which isn't great. Overall though, it is a good chassis that'll let you show off your favourite fans front and centre, mount a 360mm radiator, and looks great doing it. Just feel like it didn't live up to its potential as an 'airflow' case.
