GIGABYTE turns the adjacent fans in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure.
Managed to get this exact card from here right as the 3000 series dropped, and it's still going strong. It is worth adding to this review that when I received the GPU, it did have one slightly bent pin on the PCI-E power connector slot, meaning I couldn't safely plug my power cable into the card. It was RMA'd and I got it back working fine within a few days, so thanks to Overclockers on that one. Would recommend.
using the start of warzone as my reference here.... 1060 didnt use RT, this does. Just before you jump out of the plane and there is a red light behind you, my old GPU went to 30fps everytime. this one stays around 130fps in the same location. with RT on. This moment gave me a sence of joy at the purchase. I tested this scene on a 960 as well and that drops to 21fps, but as soon as u are playing.. all are above 60. Took a while due to human malware* but it was worth the wait. Thanks Gibbo for news over the festive season regarding these and for the rapid turnaround on your fantastic solution = )
