The Kolink Citadel Micro-ATX case has a reserved and ascetic exterior that conceals a surprising amount of space and features within. In the front and on the roof, despite the diminutive form factor, users will be pleased to know that radiators up to 240 mm are supported. The left side panel is made from tinted tempered glass and this helps give the compact case an attractive modern look. The sleek plastic front has the appearance of brushed aluminium and this complements the overall aesthetic of the Kolink Citadel Micro-ATX case nicely. The open roof of the case has a dust filter below which is located a stylish honeycomb-style mesh. The Kolink Citadel Micro-ATX case is ideal for all those that want the most powerful hardware possible while looking good at the same time.

The Kolink Citadel Micro-ATX Case at a Glance:

  • Sleek design with tempered glass side panel and roof with mesh
  • Space for a 240 mm radiator in the front and roof
  • Space for up to 350 mm long graphics cards and CPU coolers up to 160 mm
  • Two pre-installed 120 mm fans in the front and rear
  • Dust filters in the roof and base

Value-Oriented Micro-ATX Case from Kolink for Gamers

The Kolink Citadel is a great value Micro-ATX case for gamers. It supports graphics cards up to 35 cm in length. In order to raise the overall gaming potential of the case yet further, the front of the case also supports a 240 mm radiator of an AIO watercooler, thereby keeping the CPU as cooler as possible during intense gaming sessions. CPU tower-style coolers can be up to 160mm tall.

Despite the front being made of plastic, it enjoys the look of brushed aluminium and this contributes significantly to the overall reserved and minimalist aesthetic of the case. A side-facing fan inlet enables excellent airflow, with the fine honeycomb mesh also adding a certain flair. In terms of fans, the front allows for up to three 120 mm- or two 140 mm fans, a 120 mm fan does come pre-installed however. The roof fits two 120 mm fans, and the rear includes an additional 120mm pre-installed fan.

Includes PSU Shroud and Tempered Glass Side Panel

The back of the motherboard tray allows for two 2,5" SSDs to be installed. Beneath the PSU shroud however, the case provides a drive cage for holding two 3,5" HDDs, and with the requisite spacers (not included) users can install 2,5" drives instead. A PSU shroud and plenty of space for the cable management combines to make the interior look remarkably tidy, and given the tempered glass side panel, this is certainly appreciated. The I/O panel in the roof is equipped with a USB 3.0- and two USB 2.0 ports alongside two audio jacks.

Great value. Some modding needed.

Had this case for two months now. Positives: smart tempered glass side with rubber standoffs which supports self weight of glass and eliminates glass on metal contact. This glass is tinted and so RGB lighting would be needed to advertise it's contents. Included fans spin at 1000rpm max and are silent although airflow is extremely low. Cable management gets 10/10 - A well designed PSU shroud and backplate allows for all manners of cable routing. The build quality is solid although the front panel is platic-looking and definitely doesn't enjoy a particularly "aluminium look".Negatives: after removing the front panel Intended to include two 140mm intake fans, butt-up to one another, and then block off the remaining spaces Infront of the PSU/HDD shroud with some smart black tape, the idea is to ensure that the intaken air is entirely from outside the case and isn't just circulating internally. This did mean drilling two new holes into the case to allow this to happen. I also removed the side mesh in the front panel and cut away a lot of plastic to allow for better air flow. I feel as though I've made the best if a poor situation when it comes to intakes - look for other slightly larger cases if lower temperatures is what your after. Additionally the front panel mesh is purely aesthetic and does nothing to stop dust. I applied 140mm dust covers to both fans to cater for this. All in all this case is superb value for money and with some innovation good air circulation can be achieved.
