Bought this to upgrade my system over the Tomahawk as it was similarly priced, but added in WIFI v6 as and bluetooth which I use for my mouse. The board has other nice to have features like a USB port that supports bios flashing, important as I have no older compatible CPU and will need an update before my 5600X will work. There is also a m.2 heat shield and a clean and refined colour scheme that matches my existing case.
For the price of this motherboard you get a lot of premium features, including pcie m.2 gen 4, integrated wifi 6 capability and support for ryzen 5000 CPUs (With BIOS update).The motherboard looks fantastic with the white and black design being compatible with most build designs, and the addressable RGB section on the board allowing you to match the colour. The RGB software (Mystic light) is easy to use and allows you to control other compatible MSI products and some non-MSI products too.Flashing the BIOS to support the ryzen 5000 CPUs had me slightly concerned but thanks to the flash button on the I/O it was very easy. The I/O also has a reasonable number of USB ports and a USB-C port. I recently purchased this and here are some things which I like about it.I thought long and hard about which B550 board to get for Zen3, and this one is better than the Tomahawk for cheaper.Great VRMs. It's one of the better B550 boards out there.Plentiful Fan Headers. This will satisfy all your Fan needs.Plentiful RBG Headers. RGB fans and strips if you're into that.Has WiFi, so I don't need to worry about an extra PCIe WiFi card.Easy BIOS usage. Can't get simpler than that.Highly recommended!
