Great board with all the features you'll ever need

Pros:
Lots of USB Ports
On-board Wi-Fi
2 x M.2 slots
Good RAM support
Bluetooth
Everything someone building a gaming PC would realistically need
Value for money
Cons:
Motherboard fan, but this is the same on all x570 boards other than the top models
Originally was considering a B450 or x470 chipset board but decided to go for the X570 chipset as I look to build a long term PC, going for the latest tech I believe will give me the longest use out of the PC. The performance gains at the moment are small, but in theory these could improve over time with new drivers / bios updates. Also having PCI Express 4.0 is a bonus for future proofing upgrading just the graphics card. Decided to go for MSI as my last board was MSI and has been running well for nearly 5 years. Both this and my previous board have an easy to use BIOS and windows utilities. Over all this board was easy to install and comes with all the features someone building a gaming PC could ever need.

Awesome board for the price :)

I haven’t built a PC for many years, but when the new AMD Ryzens were released, I thought the time was right. I looked at all of the available boards, and decided to go for an X570 to give me the most up to date options for upgrades and overclocking. Of all of the X570 boards, I chose this one as it has inbuilt wifi, M2 heat sink and above all, very reasonably priced. I can honestly say, the board has not disappointed in the slightest. The inbuilt wifi is dual band, and is strong enough to connect without the antennas attached (although they are attached) and it connects at full speed to my 200 mbps wifi. The USB is up to date, with lots of options. The nice feature is the BIOS flash update – can update the bios directly from a USB without any OS or going into the BIOS.
I can honestly say I am delighted with the motherboard – really easy to use / install, lots of up to date features – including the fastest M2 drive options too – and I would recommend this to anyone.

X570 gaming edge wifi

Very good motherboard for the price of it. Very easy to use and build my gaming pc from. Very happy I bought this motherboard. Very nice visuals and rgb is just amazing. There are some down sides but for the price of this new motherboard I really can not complain.
I will be telling my friends to to for this motherboard. Also the free cooler master mater liquid was just a amazing touch to just make me even more happy about my purchase.

Excellent Board with good cooling

Pros:
Lots of rear USB Ports
MSI Bios is easy and intuitive to use
Onboard wifi with antennas saves the need for a separate card
Chipset fan positioned away from top PCI-e slot so doesn't blow air directly onto larger GPUs
Neutral colours so will work with all PC colour schemes
Excellent spec for the price.
Cons:
Heatsink above cpu can make cpu cooler awkward to fit

Excellent Motherboard, packed with everything you need

Decided to upgrade my PC after a five year period... From years of having relied upon Intel Processors I chose to take the plunge and go for the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X which of course meant that I would have to choose a new Motherboard

After weeks of searching both written reviews and those on YouTube I decided to go for this; the MSI MPG x570 Gaming Edge and after a few days of having it intalled in my rig I can safely say that I'm not disappointed by any means!!

Firstly installation; Couldnt have been easier with the case that I chose to use, all pin connectors were laid out clearly without once having to refer back to the Manual that was provided... This of course saved time and effort on having to hunt around and worry about what goes where (Especially as this was only my second ever build!!) - Processor too was very straight forward in terms of installation and with no pins on the Mobo it meant there was no risk of damaging both CPU and Mobo at this stage!!

Poweing up the system and BIOS instantly impressed, on my previous Mobo I had to go into the actual BIOS itself before I could boot the USB drive that had my Operating System on, for this product though there was no messing around with the computer instantly recognising and loading the appropriate software

Since setting up the system I've only had to refer back to the BIOS the once, this was to slightly amend fan speed which was extremely simple to amend... Leaving me one very satisfied customer with MSI, the fact that this Mobo came with Wifi was another selling point for me, with only a handful of x570's on the market right now this is by far the cheapest to come with said feature, certainly saves messing around with extra adapters etc. whilst maintaining bandwidth speeds!!

MSI - so far, the best brand for X570

i love this motherboard, msi has put a lot of thought into this. There is a big range of msi boards for the x570 chipset but this one has pretty much everything you need
in the box - the motherboard (duh) - 2x sata cables - ARGB extension cable - wifi antennas - 2x m.2 screws - msi case sticker - sata cable labels - driver disk - user manuals and product reg

Famous youtube tech star Buildzoid himself says he would take msi over most brands in the x570 range check out his reviews on Gamers Nexus youtube channel, his videos go in deep detail into most boards, he is the reason i chose this board in particular as he outlined that, it has all of the features of boards in the £250 ish price range and for my build (gaming), way overkill, ive build using a ryzen 5 3600 and an rtx2070 , this board can handle way more than this, all the way up to the r7 3900x so the upgrade path is crazy, ill only be using one m.2 slot for now, the wifi is a godsend as i dont have a wired network in the office, im running trident z royal 3600mhz but has support for all the way up to 4400 mhz
i had had a hard time choosing between this and the TUF gaming plus but in the end the looks won me over, the yellow of the tuf didn't sit with me

what i would say to msi is (even though they can handle higher end cpus) to use better VRM to run more efficiently, but the heatsink controls them fine and like i say, more than what i need. i was worried about the chipset fan but what i didnt know is it turns off under low load but is slightly audible when blasting it, its also used for the 1st m.2 slot
onboard wifi isn't wifi6 but 90% of users probably don't have a router capable of this anyway and people that do need 100s of mbps to truly use it
overall, i'm very happy with my purchase A** for MSI

Great value motherboard for x570

I purchased MSi MPG x570 Gaming Edge WiFi to complement a Ryzen 3700x as part of my new system build.
To summarise:
Pros:
• Total of 7 rear USB ports
• 2 PCIe 4.0 x16 slots
• 2 m.2 slots for NVMe storage
• Easy installation
• Onboard Bluetooth and WiFi
Cons:
• RAM was difficult to mount initially
• Heatsink on top m.2 port makes it awkward to mount large graphics cards

When choosing this motherboard, my main priority was functionality as I find overclocking a pain for not much gain. Thankfully, the MSi software (Dragon Centre) seems to handle this well and unintrusively. 7 rear USB ports is a great amount considering all the peripherals that seem to be around these days and connecting both the front USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports was straight forward. The onboard Bluetooth is excellent quality for my Bluetooth headphones compared to the USB dongle I used to use. The antennae provided are essential for this connection. The WiFi is also impressive so far. In my office, my phone has difficulty connecting to the WiFi but I have been able to use it for gaming with no issues so far.
The top PCI port is reinforced which reassures me when supporting a large graphics card such as my 1080Ti. It was a little awkward to fit the graphics card as it ends up positioned above the heatsink for the top m.2 port which might be a problem for a graphics card with a slightly larger heatsink. As it is, my 1080Ti was above to fit ok with a little bit of care.
The m.2 ports themselves are obviously essential in any new build and I am grateful to be able to do away with my old extension card. The heatsink is a nice addition – just remember to remove any unnecessary labelling from the drive or the heatsink won’t work properly! The board comes with a tiny screw for securing the NVMe drive in a separate bag so you can’t lose it – very thoughtful considering my old screw was catapulted across the room when I removed it from the old board.
Installing and setting up the new motherboard and processor was straight forward. I have built a few PCs but am by no means a pro, but the instructions and labelling provided made for the easiest builds I have done. The EZ debug LEDs also came in handy when first attempting to boot up. They allowed me to quickly identify the issue (the RAM was not mounted correctly – it is a little stiff to get in a first and needed a firmer hand) and alleviated my worst fear of having messed up the CPU installation. I imagine this feature would be handy to a PC builder of any experience. I will also add here that I installed 2x DDR4 3200MHz, which is higher than the information on Overclockers suggests and it is working fine. If you check the specifications on the MSi website, you can see the range of speeds supported is much higher than 2666Mhz.
I initially though that RBG was something I didn’t really care about, but it has ended up providing a nice aesthetic to my build. I am currently using the stock heatsink that was provided with the Ryzen 3700x that itself includes RGB functionality and it has been a simple matter to connect the cooler to the motherboard to sync the colour. The MSi Dragon Centre app provides decent customisation options for the RBG and is very easy to set up.
There is a range of options in the BIOS for overclocking and customisation that I am yet to explore, but for the regular/gaming use it appears to be way more than you will need. MSi also have a customised version of CPU-z that can be used for monitoring motherboard conditions that will be useful if overclocking is your jam.
I did consider some of the pricier options (such as the Pro carbon and the options from other brands) in search of a quality product. After a fair bit of reading and research I decided the extra cost wasn’t worth it for the features I wouldn’t be using and ultimately the build quality of this board is excellent and a definite strength.
Overall, I am impressed with the range of features and quality of life upgrades from my previous motherboard and the ease with which to set up. There isn’t much to complain about for me and I’m not sure what more could be offered for the price point. In terms of value for money, this is one of the best value x570 motherboard available currently (22/7/2019). If you are building a PC for gaming, then this is probably the board for you.
