Like most of you its so hard to pick the right stuff based on reviews & not being able to sample stuff..... so I was VERY happy to find this monitor was as I had hoped for.... This is a great buy for the money and will keep me going for the next few years... gaming is sooooo good :) 10/10 Treat yourself :)
Upgraded my old DELL 30" 2560x1600 monitor which I've had for many years.. The picture and res was excellent but it had low response times etc plus used to get allot of screen tearing in game .. I heard there where flicking issues with the G7 but had heard excellent reviews about it.. As soon as I got the new screen I tried it on my RTX 2080 laptop checked it's firmware version and it was the newest version.. I'm very impressed with the G7 .. No flickering or tearing, it looks and feels Superfast and so smooth.. And I'm really liking the curve in the screen .. I would defiantly recommend this screen by Samsung.
This monitor is great for 1440P. I spent a long time trying to decide on 4k,1080p and 4K, pros and cons for all. You might find that a lot of people end up talking about pixel density for a 32" monitor at 1440p andyou should be buying a 4K monitor. Well let me tell you that at 4K you will need an extremely powerful system and if you are just the average gamer then 1440p is the sweet spot. Does this monitor have the highest pixel density no but the 240HZ with a 1ms response time with a VA panel more than makes up for that.The Curve on the 32" doesnt bother me at all and I have never used a curved display its something that you can get comfortable with and for me made a big difference outside of gaming, working from home for example with this monitor and its curve is amazing.The only reason I cant give this a 10 out of 10 is because I am not a massive fan of RGP and the core lighting on the front and back, for me is just a waste of time and money whether be development or whatever. I feel this is a gimmick these days to be able call a monitor a "gaming" monitor. I also dropped off 1 point due to the size of the stand. It took up so much room on my desk that I ended up purchasing a monitor arm. Honestly that's all the complaints I can have about this monitor. Hope this helps anyone thinking of purchasing a new monitor in the future.
